Im not really all that convinced Kuz was brought in to play with Michkov. I think he was brought in as a potential flip at the deadline, nothing more. I think Briere wanted a 1st in the Farabee deal, couldnt get it so Kuz was the next best thing. CGY had plenty of space to take on Farabee without moving Kuz

Lineup at this point doesnt matter. There is no good lineup with this team. Realistically looking at the Cs, You got 4 Cs that are 3rd or 4th line guys right now so does it really matter who is where?

What’s the deal with the captain on the 4th line? Are they just f’ing with him? I know he isn’t what he used to be, but even half of what he was is better than these other clods.

Torts has been messing with him for two years now. All the lines in a constant blender and normally saddles him with horrible wingers. Tbh I rarely understand torts like combos. There is something to be said with giving guys a stretch of games to find chemistry, rather than changing up mid game when things don’t instantly gel. It’s over coaching and what do we really have to lose? Give the young players some leash and let them fail rather than have them constantly on egg shells about being demoted, benched or scratched.

Cates regresses back to his norm for point production, not a slight against him just reality. He is a younger, less productive player then Sam Bennett. Seems to be a common theme on the majority of the forwards on this team. Someday talent will be valued higher then grit in this organization.

-Cates, Forester and Brink have been special and our best line. Keep em.

-Sanheim and York are our best defensive pair. Keep 'em

-Coots had good chemistry with Michkov, and yeah I thought Kuz would be a good linemate to be with him. But I'm guessing the lack of speed on that line would drive Torts crazy.

-The numbering of the lines does not matter. Only their usage and production.

I know most ppl don't like the way torts handling of michkov and they have some serious concerns but I'm loving most of it, I like that they pushing the kid to be a all around better player and think it will pay off in spades ♠️

Torts will always try to win, that's his job. Its up to Briere to make sure he can't win right now. Happy to be entertained with good games and rooting for Michkov to win the Calder, but in the end this team has got to lose a lot of games down the stretch here. It would be gross incompetance if Danny does not trade Risto and Laughton at least.

No way Laughton is getting a 1st round pick for the Flyers, never mind two. I would be happy with the 2026 2nd round pick at this point. No way he should be on this team past the deadline.
