I think Laughton is getting traded for sure this deadline, it would make no sense not to since the Flyers have Cates and will get Luchanko when his season ends. I can't see a team giving a 1st round pick up for Laughton, so I hope Briere will take what he can get. A 2026 2nd would still be good value since that is a deeper draft than this one. Based on Tort's comments yesterday, I don't think Risto is being traded unless Briere is blown away. The Flyers do need to open up a defensive roster spot for Andrae though, so I wonder if a more significant trade might happen where a player like York is involved? I'm on the fence with extending York? Is this all he is? I would go for a 2 year bridge deal with him, but not a longer contract.

I don't even think Luchenko is here next year. Also is it even beneficial for him to be here. I think the kid is ok but I think there needs to be some brakes pumped. I would like to see him move and compete for a Memorial cup. Alos another world juniors I think would be more beenficial for him over playing limited minutes in NHL

If the progression of Drysdale and Andrae continues, York certainly appears might be the smaller Dman shipped out. After the recent comments of the organization in the belief blue line size is important, unlikely they ride half the D core undersized. I expect York to be a major piece to acquire a center under the age of 27 over the summer. Also, I expect Seeler will be replaced by Hunter McDonald by the end of next season.

How’s Kuzmenko and Torts getting along? Is Pelletier playing a regular shift?

They seem to be getting on fine so far. Kuz has brought some offense to both 5 on 5 and the PP. Pelletier is getting a regular shift on the 4th line.

What the scoop on Frost and Farabee?

I’d like to see Kuzmenko with Michkov for a few shifts

Cate's offense is coming as he gets his confidence. He has developed nicely. I will remind you Torts said last year that he felt there was more offense there in his game and he is showing it now.

7 games played with Calgary, Frost with 3 pts and Farabee has only 1 point. Both minus players. So in other words, same as it was here.

He’s been very solid since the calendar turned to the new year. Offence has started to come around. I like that line with brink and Foerster

The kid as you put it is scoring at about 1.4 pts/game, which considering his team sucks is really good, plus he is wearing the 'C' on the team. He is ready for the NHL IMO.

I hope Pelletier gets moved up the lineup eventually, like to see what he can do with more talent around him.

This is the game to do it. The Penguins look completely lifeless so far.

4 HOFer's and absolute garbage. IF Crosby goes on a heater anything is possible, outside of that, an absolute dead team.

What a Joke with that penalty on York. Rust has his stick up over York's head and is interferring with York by setting a pick for Crosby. That should have been high sticking and interference on Rust.
