Fox is paid as a top dman, but he’s not an all situation/can shut down a top line dman. He’s best suited as a 2nd pair guy that runs the PP. He shouldn’t be dealing with the PK or going up against other teams top lines. |

Aside from JT Miller and Borgen, who really hasnt played that soild, every player Drury has traded for has been a healthy scratch. Tell you how great these trade are for the future. |

Parsinnen and de Haan were basically dart throw add ins to the deal, far from the primary components. Soucy was added in the hopes he regains his 2023-24 form, like Borgen. |

Welp looks like it’s just not our year!( how many times has that been said!).Not playing well combined with the toughest or close to the toughest schedule doesn’t bode well for the rangers. Here’s hoping they can turn it around next year. |

Unfortunately it looks like Soucy may somehow be even worse than Lindgren. Not sure if any amount of time fixes that. Just about every time i notice Soucy on the ice he is losing the puck in his feet or turning the wrong way or struggling to keep up with his man (ZONE DEFENSE PLEASE). Borgen on the other hand stepped it up pretty quickly.
Strictly talking LDs De Haan was pretty solid, if unremarkable, in his few games before Soucy. Would've been fine keeping him for another season. Now we have Soucy and Vaak locked up past this year with Miller and Jones RFAs and De Haan a UFA. Have to assume Jones and De Haan are gone. The only viable way for Soucy to be on this team without being a complete poopshow is if he is on the third pair, leaving Vaak as the extra d-man.
Keeping Miller:
XXX Fox
Miller Borgen
Soucy Schneider (could be a disaster)
Vaak

And thats being hopeful that Ka Miller improves. This years edition of Miller is terrible. |

He could and has effectively until one off year and his dpartner not being capable either. Where were you the previous years when that pair was great?

I understand what you are saying but its also the eye test of how slow Fox has been, his deficiencies were on full display during the four nations tourney. I dont know what is ailing him but it hasnt been a good look. |

His speed is actually the same. It his lateral movement from the knee injury that changed. There were charts around his speed bursts and top speed over the last 5 years |

I was talking about that in one of the older blogs. I don’t get it. He’s also a +4 in spite of that somehow. Wasn’t sure how he was progressing outside of the his nonexistent offense but it looks like he’s doing pretty great outside of that crazy stat |

Im not saying Lavy has been good but Drury cant fire his 3rd coach in four years. At what point will the blame be on the players? |

I think trading half the team was part of holding the team accountable. I think Drury and Lavi should go tbh |
