Good morning, happy Sunday from beautiful Arizona!! Big win for the boys, they needed a game like that, minus the Chytil injury, hope he's ok. Petey is starting to roll, gotta love that...unless you're Donna.

So here we go with Chytil lol this was a concern no?

Good to see Pettersson off the Schneid a bit see if he can keep it up.

Thanks Yorkie!

Maybe Jason's still ticked at being traded so he took it out on a guy with concussion issues.

Did you watch the game? I don't think it was a very well played game. They had a whopping 15 shots , scoring on 40% of those shots. The goalie was pretty bad, in the parts of the game that I watched(ECHL calibre).

I swear Lefty looks at stat sheet, sees Pouty got a goal and starts his morning drool.

Hilarious fan base here. Really good game defensively, was Silovs a bit shaky, yes to start but nerves and his record so far are a good reason to be. He held strong when required to do so.
So only 15 shots they say, and some well placed pucks on net to get 6 goals, Soderblom had a tough go but he had a 905% save percentage over Silovs 850%. And why do you need to have 30 shots when winning, play defensive, kind of a no brainer.
And this shot count is BS, oh look it’s 7-7 in shots, 2min later oh look it’s 6-3 in shots, totally human subjective shot count.

I enjoyed the game and the win, but I’m also not always looking for the negatives in everything Canucks.

Hopefully a strong performance tonight, I think I heard Demko is close to returning, fingers crossed Chytil isn’t concussed.

Parts of it, I was actually watching LIV Golf from Singapore, but I did check in to see how it was going. Also, I made no mention of how it was played, only that they needed a win if they want to make the playoffs.

Not to mention they were playing arguably the worst team in the league, it's the small victories.

The win was nice but man Chicago are bad. I found the game boring despite the goal count but I probably wasn't as drunk as you were.

Yes Chicago is bad, personally I think Bédard is a bit overrated at the moment but maybe he will grow into a superstar in a few years.

I was on my second glass of wine so not so drunk, just enjoyed well placed shots on net and a good defensive shutdown game.

You remember correctly, it is a Trophy well earned and to beat Liverpool is so much better. Now they need to climb the EPL tables and get top 4 and the Champions League.

I missed it. I roasted a leg of lamb and baby potatoes, I really like that Coleman's Mint sauce.

I've already had a lamb sandwich on sourdough this morning.

Watched the second half, was an exciting game! Cheering more against Liverpool (especially as an Arsenal fan), but heard during the Arsenal match earlier about the long trophy drought... so was nice to see them win it for both reasons

Never had the opportunity to watch, heard there was a goal called back, but Isak scored shortly after to secure the 2nd goal.

56 years is a long drought and Newcastle is just starting to compete with the big clubs in the EPL. Next game could have them in 4th, but still 10 games or so to go.

Rick Tocchet says Filip Chytil is out tonight with a concussion. Said he felt okay today, but is in the protocol. They’ll see how he is over the next 48 hours before deciding if he’ll go on the trip. #Canucks  @Sportsnet650

Seemed inevitable, with his history and how unsteady he was on his skates after the (late) hit.

Hopefully he's back quickly.

Next man up? Raty???
