Is the "self" implied in imploding? 🤔 |

If J.T. Miller had consistently producing regular linemates, plus d'men to get the puck to them steadily besides Fox, & Schneider at times of key, along with Igor acting as a puck forwarding d'man; J.T.'s two-way talent & leadership would be reflected by higher numbers here. Imagine if he had a team having heart & who cared as a whole giving an 100% effort every shift, in contrast to just the few who do.
If you want to compare J.T. to Elias Pettersson; then look at both players numbers for the season with Miller's play there with a still struggling Canucks team that has very few players with + ratings.
E. Pettersson - 63-GP, 15-G, 30-A, 45-PTS, AVG PTS/GM- 0.71, (-10 RTG)
Miller (w/Van.)- 40-GP, 9-G, 26-A, 35-PTS, AVG PTS/GM- 0.88, (-4 RTG)
E. Pettersson has a d'man in Norris Trophy candidate, Quinn Hughes who in just 55-GM PL leads VAN. with 25:00+TOI AVG/GM, besides leading VAN with also a (+9 RTG), 50-A, 66-PTS, along with being 5th ranked at 16 GOALS.
E.P. is ranked 2nd on VAN. in Pts.; while J.T. Miller is still 6th ranked there in Pts. despite having played besides 15 games less than their Pts. leader Hughes, between 22 to 29 FEWER GMS. than the 2nd to 5th ranked in most pts. above him there. |

Just give him one more summer/season.
He drafts what you crave for, big players. Look at his draft picks, they’re generally all over 6ft. Rangers are getting bigger and badder, just need more time to change the indenity of the team. You refuse to let anything he does go if you don’t like it (any trade lol). His “vision” is taking longer they you’d like. I think he gave up this year. IMO Panarin and Fox are ahead of Zibanejad of getting out of here. I know crazy |

You likely jinxed Sam & the Rangers in two means TJ back in late Feb. after I recall that you attended the Rangers win at UBS on Feb.25th over the Isles.
See Jan's Feb. 26th blog entitled:
"Rangers Defeat Islanders 5-1 But Lose Miller & Fox To Injuries." (i.e., K'Andre Miller)
See your reply to "Guess Who ......?" - Feb. 27th (12:26 AM) - 2nd comment Pg. 10.
The jinx was your 3rd sentence's first 7 words starting on line 2, followed by your final 8 words on lines 5 & 6 of your 7 in total.
TJ: "Rangers ended the Islanders season last night ... and I'll be back when the playoffs start."

Rangers going through a culture shock it seems like. They have no cohesion on the ice. No chemistry. The shake up will be epic … who gets traded will be fascinating! im ready for anything |

Hey, last blog I said the Soucy trade was fine bc we’ll likely get that pick back, if not better (maybe a 2nd) at next years deadline.
Also said the Lindgren/Vesey trade was fine |

You better hope TJ that the first change come's very soon to get a head start in their major offseason re-tool considerations. That starts with GM Drury if still here, or whoever else if not, canning both Laviolette & Housely both especially of key, and giving the kids a chance to play. Peca is the only assistant I would consider bringing back.

I’m fully on board with firing Lavy. Rangers need Coach Q. Let everyone go and hire Quennville
Or long shot, Bruce Boudreau. |

Why has March 1st acquired veteran d'man Calvin deHaan been in Lavy's doghouse as a healthy scratch for the NYR last 8 games (2-5-1); since playing in each of the Rangers first 3 games (2-0-1) after the trade involving Lindgren & Vesey going to the Avs for he & Parssinnen, plus.
Is it since he earned just 1 Assist those 3 MSG games? I hope not per his #'s:
March 2nd (4-0 Win) vs. NSH- 16:26 TOI, 2-BLKS, 6-HITS, (+1 RTG)
March 3rd (4-0 Win) vs. NYI - 16:52 TOI, 0-BLKS, 1-HIT, (+2 RTG)
March 5th (3-2 OTL) vs. WSH- 14:14 TOI, 3 BLKS, 5-HITS, (+1 RTG)
NYR (2-0-1) w/deHaan- 47:32*TOI, 5 BLKS, 12-HITS, (+4 RTG), (*Avg 15:51)
NYR (2-5-1) without deHaan- Outscored 22-12 in 6 Losses w/4 Losses by 1-G)
If used in the lineup throughout, Calvin deHaan could have made a difference in those 4 one-goal losses being instead either 1 or 2 pts. earned in any of the 3 Regulation Losses; and also possibly prevent a late 3rd period 2 goal blown lead at Ottawa which resulted in an OT loss, become a Regulation Win instead. |
