I got banned once for making it rain diagrams of the human reproductive system during political flamewars. Funny thing is, the political flamers didn't get banned, just me.

I'll staple Rielly to Hedman and make Rielly look serviceable.

Josh Leivo, now 31, playing for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL, Leivo just shattered the league’s single-season goal record, netting 49 goals in 62 games, surpassing the long-standing mark of 48 set by Sergei Mozyakin in 2016-17. He also chipped in 31 assists for 80 points, leading the league in scoring.
He may wish to come back, NHL general managers are reportedly circling. Players with his size, hands, and now record-setting pedigree don’t often resurface with this kind of momentum.
As one league executive put it, “You can’t ignore what he just did over there. That kind of goal scoring translates.” A return to the NHL — once improbable — now feels inevitable. This may get him a top 6 spot over here.

Josh is not the fastest skater, but the fact he did it on large ice is even more impressive. Glad he did it playing for the Town I was born long time ago.

Man, he really obliterated that long standing record. I’m now going to have to ask my grandpa where he was when Mozyakin set the bar that high. The real question is how is it that Mozyakin didn t score like 500 goals in the NHL by now????

How did Sergei Mozyakin's NHL career go?

Leivo is a known commodity in the NHL. He's a third line winger who can't bring anything but offense. And he's 31 going on 32.

Is he worth a league minimum contract or a try-out? Absolutely. Nothing to lose with that type of risk. But if he tries to come back to the NHL expecting any kind of big or long term deal, we all know how that's going to end.

On the other hand, if he keeps using it, maybe he will get looped into the Pentagon’s “top secret” war plans. 😉
