He'd already be the best LW on team with a surplus of RW.

No thank you. Don't need another below average to average player

So, we are going to sign a very average 29 years old to a long term contract. Makes perfect sense...

Mangiapane's production has slipped, certainly ice time could be a factor. This will be the 3rd consecutive year in which he has tallied less then 20 goals. I'm not sure the best use of cap space would be signing a 29 year old winger to even a 1 year prove it deal is worthwhile. It seems like the Flyers have a glut of wingers already on the roster trying to show a level of consistent production and wingers who will be in the AHL one would hope to get a look at playing against NHL competition.

Keith jones has talked endlessly this past year about the need for the Flyers to get bigger and their free agent target is going to be a 5’10 winger?

What's with all the bans lately? Is this a glitch? Are people being auto-banned when their posts are flagged? I know I've accidentally hit the "flag" button when I meant to hit the quote button. Are we accidentally banning each other?

I just got PMs from a few more people who have been banned for seemingly harmless posts:

This one from furio16:
6 points out of a playoff spot says Boucher. He has become intolerable. Never in my entire life have a seen such a delusional franchise.

from corduroy:
Who cares. Neither player moves the needle

from MBFlyerfan:
And don't forget Culture®. Florida's cup winning "culture" is nothing compared the the Flyers Culture®

I think Ek has an issue with posters that spell correctly.

Several things to consider

1) We dont exactly know whos doing the banning. This site does have Mods who could be doing it

2) The last post made doesnt necessarily mean that's the banned post unless the reason for ban states the post. I assume that ppl flag posts and those are later reviewed. I know 2 of the 3 often insult posters

I would like to add that I'm in favor of moderating the site. I have no problem with banning posters who can't behave, but I don't keep track of who posts what. I honestly can't remember if any of the posters I mentioned are frequent offenders, but all 3 forwarded me the exact explanation they received and all three explanations from the moderator say the exact same thing,

It appears that they are being banned for those specific posts. I don't read everything posted, but it seems to me that it's been pretty well behaved around here lately. I haven't really seen anything worthy of banning in quite some time. It's Ek's site he can do whatever he likes. If his intention is to clear out offensive posters why not just make that well known to all of us here?

Mangiapane - No.

Why?

Flyers have enough depth wingers already. To me it does not make sense.

That would make the most sense. But, as you said, this is Eks page so he can do what he wants. Honestly, ever since Bill left it feels like this place is dying on the vine ans quickly approaching extinction.

I’ll also add that all 3 (actually 5, there are two more posters that contacted me earlier) posters told me they contacted support (at the email address provided) and did not get a response.

Undersized, soon to be 29 year old forward who has averaged 37 points per season over the last 6 years?

Yeah, this would absolutely be on brand for this dippoop franchise. Oh well, at least the Caps saved them from massively overpaying Chycrun this summer.

Very odd... based on the comments you posted not sure why that would warrant a ban.

Interesting this drop hours after the signing. Guess they are going to keep York for now.

Add this to Jones’ interview and it sure sounds like they may be running it back with only internal promotions next season. Maybe they make a trade at the draft with picks but can’t think who would be available for just picks in a mid draft.

For all you banned folks out there; you don’t need to send me anymore examples of being unfairly banned. I think we get the point.

I don't think there is a support. I reached out to close my account years ago. Never got a response and obviously account wasn't deleted

The Flyers have plently of bottom 6 forwards. They need to get a 1C and 2C. Everything else is a waste.

If i was GM, i would actually be trying to keep York but actually moving Sanheim. He's coming off being on the 4 Nations, played pretty well and He can fit into a top 4. He's got 3 more years left on his deal. I just think this team is not that close and needs more pieces and would rather allocate money to York and build around him, drysdale and andrae and keep building onto that.

Sanheim has a no movement clause for 2 more seasons, then a limited no trade and the Flyers just signed his best friend for another 8 years in Konecny. The dream of moving either is long gone.
