Nice win over the Providence Bruins!
And this was the last "easy" game of the season! And it was tight!

Kasper by far has to be the number one story of the season. Since the coaching change the kid has become a line driver. He sparked Larkin and Raymond, and now is the 2C we have been looking for driving the Cat and Kane. He seems to have found another gear and looks smarter on the ice. Add an off season and 10 pounds and let’s see what he can do. He makes Compher even more movable as in bye bye buy out. I’m not sure that 6-3 can get us to the playoffs but the way the rest of the bottom of the East is playing who knows. I doubt the schedule will allow us to go 6-3. So I will take continued improvement from the youngsters and hopefully see ASP, Cossa and Lombardi get their cup of coffee.

That game what all we've wanted to see; hard-nosed hockey, physical play.......some anger, taking charge and pushing play. Granted, BOS now isn't the BOD of a few years, but this was a good game.

Kasper's been a very solid player. Physical when needed, playing his speed and vision leading the way. Agree that he should add some weight. As long as he does it the way Rayzor did.

If we can finish this season playing the way we did last night, I'll be happy. I really want to see ASP & MBN get a few games in, get their minds set for NA styled hockey. They will end up in the "A", but getting a few games on the big club will benefit their development.

Again, this is a good club. Have issues, for sure BUT..... seeing a game like last night makes what we've watched post 4N very disappointing.

I rewatched the Kasper goal probably 10 times. He had shut his “brain off” and just played. MBN’s numbers concern me in terms of scoring. 5 goals and 6 assists in 42 games. ASP had 10G and 8A 2 years ago in 39 games and 12G 17A in 46 games this year. Hoping MBN makes a big jump but ASP has been impressive on many stages. He did play 22 games 3 years back with 2 goals and 3 assists at 17/18. ASP has my eye as a power play QB and a Rafalski type/use your speed to get into the play and back into position. Really want to see what Lombardi does next fall. Would love to see Tuomisto and Wallinder put a veteran on waivers. Feels like good things coming from the pipeline for sure!

One could make the arguement that Watson has made a case for him to stay up in Detroit to stay on the 4th line. He's been outstanding in GR this season as a power forward both physically and putting up some points. He adds some sandpaper this Wings team sorely lacks and makes the Wings harder to play against. He sticks up for his teammates. BUT... he will have to go once one the prospects grabs and keeps a roster spot in Detroit. I'd rather see Lombardi come up... but management doesn't seem on board with that.
