Tough loss. Boys should be able to bounce back against Stars.

Kept it close, Hill had some big stops and they got more chances in the 3rd.

Thanks Yorkie.

Our season is over. The best we can hope for is that we lose the rest of the season and a bunch of teams win the rest of the season now. But we are Canucks. That won't happen.

Won't really change much, a few spots in the draft order at best in a weak draft. Gonna be picking 10-16... Would rather have more of the youth get a shot to play in the structure and culture of a team that wins (or tries to!). Hopefully they can get Willander over for a few games.

It could be the difference between getting Jake O'Brian vs say Jack Nesbitt, big difference. It also gives a better opportunity/higher percentage, to move up in the draft.

There's no certainty one will pan out more than the other, especially in a weak draft like this in that range. Sure, gets you a better shot at who you think you might want, but no one really knows. 5 games left, let the youth play and try to win. It's highly unlikely the Canucks would drop 5 spots in the standings anyways even if they lost all their final games.

I am fine with them playing the young ones, especially if it means players like Aman aren't playing.

Also, I have doubts the team will have the 1st rounder, so it would be more enticing for another GM to trade for a pick in the 12-14 spot vs the 16 spot.

I'm gonna go our on a limb and say they pick the best Swede available regardless of where their 1st pick is.

Thanks Newber.

If these guys wont the rest of their games and we lost, we would jump into the top 10. That's a big leap in player quality this draft.

The last North American they picked 1st was Quinn Hughes. The last Canadian was Jake Virtanen.

Just in the first round. However, since Jake's draft, they've drafted more Canadians than any other nationality.

24 Canadians
12 Dirty Americans
13 Swedes

Sure. It's really translated to the present NHL roster nicely. Any fluke that Abby is doing so well with a Canadian heavy roster at this time of year?

O’Brian won’t make it out of the top 10, someone’s going to take him earlier.
