Quick data check to save posters some time.
Bump is the captain of Western Michigan. Sophomore at 21 years of age.
6’0 and 195lbs.
23G and 24A assists for 47 points in 40 games this year. Not bad for NCAA.
It’s an improvement from his 14G and 22A over 38 games his freshman year when he made the All Rookie team |

Ofc he’s a LW.
WMU pulled it off.
No points by Bump, but he reportedly had a great game with solid opportunities and a team leading 9 shots (nice). +1, but that’s not too important.
Buium was also noted as a menacing presence for Denver playing big minutes, but nothing on the scoreboard.
Anyone catch the game who can give a first person perspective? |

I’d seen neither team before, Bump was all over the ice creating chances the whole game. Flyers have a good prospect on the way. |

I saw the second and third periods and he kind of reminds of Foerster. Has a heavy shot and seems to get it off quick. Looked to be a good skater and was noticeable almost every time that he was on the ice. Admittedly, that's the first time that I ever watched him play. Buium didn't look as dynamic as previous games that I had seen him play in, but he created several good chances, and he sure can scoot and get the puck up the ice. |

Especially for a fifth round pick. Maybe we finally got lucky on a later round draft choice. |

I watched the game and came away impressed with his game… if I have a comparison it’s Matty Nies in Toronto… this kid is more then a shooter… he got some really solid skill, see’s the ice well, great shot, some size and has a bit of jam to his game… definitely one of their top prospects. |

The Flyers will have no problem filling out the middle and bottom of their roster with quality players. Really just have to fix the top of it which unfortunately is way harder to do. |

Going to have to take chances in the trade market to acquire top tier talent that is currently not playing at an upper level. I find it amusing Kurz still goes on social media basically crapping on anyone believing in trading for Elias Pettersson is a good idea. Trevor Zegras "has been injury prone, over paid, and not been good for a few years". All true, but he is entering a contract year and throughout his entire career he is a .70 pts/game player. Not bad for a player who just turned 24-some team might take a chance. For some reason, he cannot recognize teams are only willing to give up talent that is not meeting their expectations. When a player moves, countless times players have been able to elevate in a new environment. Briere is going to have to take a chance and deal some of the middle six talent that has been acquired and take a risk. Otherwise, as others have stated, Michkov's career will have parallels to G because this regime has been unwilling to do everything possible to alter the roster to give them the best possible chance to pick in the top 5 multiple years. |

I saw him play in high school. A pure goal scorer with poor play away from the puck and no defense. Now he plays a two way game. He’s really developed and Torts won’t get a chance to ruin him.

I'm off Zegras after this year. Two things have become a trend:
1. He can't stay healthy
2. He can't play center
Definitely still on board for more high end talent for sure.
Everyone is talking about offer sheets. With the cap going up the only teams you can poach a player from is one has legit cap decision now (and moving forward). All I want for Xmas is McTavish but that won't happen, Anaheim will match. Already not a fan of Zegras (no mo'). I'm kinda obsessed with Kneis from Toronto. They are gonna need to sign him, Marner, and Tavares....kids a true power forward at 22. I'm legit all in on going all in with the kid.

No issue being out on Zegras. Those are the type of players available thru trade. Injury history, production not up to draft status (ex. Sam Bennett in CLG) or player signed long-term with a high cap hit and dip in production (ex. Pettersson in VAN). Every once in awhile, a Matthew Tkachuk opportunity might present itself, where the player lets the team know he no interest in signing an extension. Players like McTavish and Knies will probably not be available to trade because they are still under team control and to offer sheet them would require a team to surrender multiple 1st round picks to get to a salary where a team would think about not matching. Considering McKenna is draft eligible next season, doubtful Briere has the appetite to surrender the Flyers 1st round pick even for a McTavish or Knies.
Now a player like Mavrik Bourque could be offer sheeted at a lower salary, which would require lower draft pick compensation. Considering DAL's salary cap that might be an option, but a player like Bourque probably won't become a 1st line forward.
He really needs to hit on a top 6 or top pair Dman player in this draft. Obviously, easier to accomplish with their own 1st round pick. Could use some draft luck. Either move up in the lottery or a prospect drops to them like Michkov becomes a stud. |

I feel Danny B will get rid of a whole mess of 1st round picks (not the Flyers in 25) to do stuff. Kneis will probably need a top offer of like 9mil to get him from Toronto. The Flyers have the assets to make it happen. Bourque is a bit of a smaller kinda guy and and not sure he's more than what Jett L can be? I dunno. McTavish would be the offer sheets center IMO.
It would never happen...but would anyone do a Coots for Zibanajed trade? Rangers just want to get rid of him. Maybe we add an asset. Would Coots agree?

I do think Couts would waive to go to NYR. Rangers are a lot closer to competing immediately then the Flyers. Certainly that is an avenue to shakeup the roster, trading 1 bad contract for another.
From what I understand if the Flyers offer shett any player to a contract level that would warrant surrending a 1st rd pick, it would be the '26 draft. With the uncertainty of the roster, I do not see Briere giving up a lottery ticket to draft McKenna. I really like Knies and McTavish also. |

Well, with the Pens win tonight it looks like my preseason prediction of the Flyers finishing in the basement of the Metro division will come to fruition. My reasoning was lack of trust in the defense and goaltending. Hmmm... |

Cutter with 5-goals in his last three games.
Hitting 20-goals as a rookie ain't too bad. |

I also said that a successful season for Michkov (IMO) would be 20 goals and 30 assists. He currently sits at 24 goals and 35 assists. Very impressive considering that he plays on a team with few finishers and a rotten PP. I also don't agree that he was badly mishandled by Torts. He looked very tired before the 4 Nations tourney and then came back reenergized after the break. Torts was rightfully giving him 14-15 minutes a game. He's 20 years old and playing in the best league in the world, and he has never played this much hockey in his life. He needs to get in better shape and become a better skater to be truly elite IMO. I also picked Columbus as my dark horse to make the playoffs, but that is on life support. Many on here scoffed at my suggestion of them making the playoffs. Ha!! Would the Flyers consider trading TK before July 1st? Hmmm... |

Disappointing he didn't want to be a Flyer, that set the team back a bit. I believe he's been playing wing in Anaheim but the center depth within the Flyers organization is almost non-existent. |
