Nabby looked sharp to end the game. Hope Montoya is ok.
Im glad isles won last night. Way to close out close game. The reality is Pavelec is only reason why isles did not blow them out.
John Tavares continues to have about 4-5 great scoring chances a night. I would not be suprised to see a night when you scores a hattrick again. Thursday would be ideal.
Nino almost scored. Bailey and Okposo continue to play great. |

Great game for the Islanders and a pretty strong road trip. Looks like Ullstrom will be out so I would assume Haley will be up. Have no problem sitting Reasoner also as he hasn't scored a goal. Guy he replaced has 3 (Konopka). Little irritated watching Rangers last night and seeing Stu Bickel play well. Rangers put him on waivers and Snow had no interest. Guess Mottau, Eaton and Staios were worth keeping over a Young Dman that hits. Snow is and always be pathetic. But great job to the players |

Great game all together that is all that makes a difference. they came out a tad slow in the first but got past that.
Tavares line was flying like usually second line looked good hell teh whole team did. I mean Winnipegs defense is nothing to write about so maybe that is why we were able to get in teh zone with ease. Big test against the Rangers and if we squeeze past them I hope the Islander dont go on a long losing streak like last time.
Dee only thing I dont agree with was Jurcina the reason Kane went into Montoya. Jurcina slowed down Kane kept going and plowed into his head, how is that Jurcinas fault? It is ok stick to making the holiday cookies and things. Nabby did a great job in relief though and will be your goalie for Thursday he has played every game against them and I think has played well so who knows.
Also Jack is a big boy now as I think he called his first time out ever before the last minute of the third period. It was so good to see little Jackie wear the big boy pants and call teh time out. He looked nervous but got past his first. I hope this is the first of many for our little Jackie |

DEE KARL's opening line..."Just when I’m ready to throw in the towel..." wouldn't it be great if that was true, yea Dee throw in the towel, maybe you can convince the other loser Howie Rose to do the same...omg what's worse than being in last place, Dee and Howie...the worst. |

First game in a while where I didn't feel compelled to find something else to do while it was on in the background. I know they beat Minny a few days ago, but that game was just as boring as the one before it. This one though kept me interested. Great pace, a few goals, some hitting, great saves...unfortunately mostly on the other end of the ice...there was a bit of everything. And a W at the end, which is nice.
Okposo really needs to attend the Trevor Gillies fighting camp next time he holds one. Full marks and then some to KO for immediately jumping to Nielsen's defense, but if you go through the trouble of dropping your gloves, taking your helmet off, and circling the guy a few times, at least make sure you take a fighting major for your effort.
Nino was very close to putting two in the net. From right out in front like we've been hoping to see. Who would have thought...put him with a center who is actually playing some decent hockey and he gets a few quality chances in front.
Wish Tavares would have been rewarded with a goal. He had two good chances right in front of the net on one shift, but he pulled an Andy Hilbert both times. |

nino was close to putting in 2. Playing with Bailey, it will happen. If nino get hot then look out. Right now, team is playing well.
Lets keep the negatives off the board today guys. SPOIL THE RANGERS THURSDAY. |

Man your no fun at all. I am scared about the Ranger game I dont think we are going to win. The formula for our success is to stop the GAborik and it is an easy win. Unfortuantely GAborik scores about 5 goals a game against us. Was taht positive enough?? |

I love Jiggs he is awesome Butchie is the worst I have ever heard and is more embarassing then our management. I mean this guys cant speak English and has no clue what is going on during the game. I think at times Howie wants tot ell him to just shut up. He is so annoying. |

Forget it I will die of alcohol poisoning if that is the case. I know I kind of skip the blog like most people. Even though I did read up to Jurcina being the reason Montoya got hurt. I think Dee sees the same game as Butch. It is non existant or she is getting information from the living room from her family. |
