I'd certainly take JVR on the Preds. And, since we're trade buddies going back to the firesale, we've got a few choices I think most of us are willing to give up for him.

It's a common topic in Preds circles of us having some options to trade for JVR. I'll just sit back and wait.

His Avs assist was a pass of beauty - All-Star quality for sure.

True, but as many times as he has bailed the team out I think he's entitled to a bad game every now and then.

Rinne has bailed the boys out plenty of times in the past, they owed him one. Rinne has made that pass before and when it works he gets praises, last night showed why its a high risk play.

The Mike Cammalleri trade seemed like a little bit of a rush job after he made those comments. I don't know the other prospects involved but I think the flames got the better end of the deal.

Does this trade ramp up the Iginla trade rumors even more or put them to rest? I thought the Flames were going for the rebuild but this trade says different.

There would certainly be more to it than that. Weber is making 7.5 and JVR is making 1.65. Someone like Hartnell or Meszaros would have to be included just to make it work with the cap.

The habs got the better end of the deal and got rid of Cammy's contract. The Flames took on more money but should help the 1st line. I wonder if Glenncross is now touchable? Loved Bourque's game and would have been a great fit for the preds but didn't think he was worth that much. Suter should fetch a handsome reward this deadline.

Sad story, I thought Cal would have a better future than Ryan Jones or Santorelli. COR was making great strides last year till he snapped his leg. Just wonder how bad Trotz scrambled Cal's brain. Maybe COR will find his game soon, maybe he gets traded to the Av's to play with his bro.

I think he still has a future. It doesn't look like he was given much of a shot in Phoenix. Some guys just don't mesh with some systems.
