Totally disgree with you EE. The fans are mocking Gomez because they are sick of being mocked by the Monteal Canadiens and Gauthier. They pay good money to watch his crappy team and management has done nothing. Fans can only show their displeasure in ways that may embarress Molson and the once great logo. This will eventually result in people not showing up to games or even worst, not selling out the Bell Centre. It has happened before (Rejean Houle era). Also, don't expect the fans sitting in the Molson Zone who make $12-$18/hr to feel empathy for Gomez and his $8 million salary. |

not apologizing for him, nor am i suggesting anyone feel bad for him. but, I look at the rest of the team, and the honest effort a lot of guys are putting up and it has to be brutal for them to see all this stupid behaviour... |

I wrote it in the blog...they're entitled to behave however they want.
As far as I'm concerned, they're turning into everything Habs fans used to hate about Leafs fans. You want to join that party...be my guest. |

Gomez is putting out the effort and deserves some respect for that. With regards to Hab fans, they've always been a fickle bunch and always will be. High expectations and a low threshhold for failure are traits in abundance. At the end of the day that Gomez trade was a brutal one, fine, live with it or whatever but then to turn around and drop that turd that was Kaberle enters into the unforgivable. Heads should roll and rightly so. |

How many times this season did you tell yourself "wow, looks like they completely quit after that goal" and watch them lose? How many times have you seen them completely collapse after taking a lead for most of the game and allow 1 goal that completely kills them?
They did offer, on some nights, a pretty good 60 minute effort. And I'm pretty sure fans can recognize that. But they have been few and far between.
I'm not much of a booer, but I can assure you that I completely understand why the fans are heckling Gomez and/or the team at this point.
They have been pathetic for most of the season. |

I disagree. Leaf fans just sat there and took it up the hoop. I've got no problems with fans reacting, especially when they come out and play the way they did against Washington on Sat.. Far too many games like that this season. |

It's not about Gomez, it's the message they are sending Molson. How else do you suggest they do it. They cannot call him and tell him they want Gauthier gone, and possibly he's next. |
