Probably should have been a suspension. However, if you look closely turris' left foot is still down when he makes contact. You can leave your feet afterward. |

I agree with the inconsistent calls this year by Shanny for sure, but it's everywhere, not just in Boston. |

Dont know how you Bruins fans can complain , all you have gotten is favorable treatment , I guess that your memory blocked out the Goonery that Chara did to Pacioretti last year almost killing him ... Oh and maybe this one you'll remember the Lucic hit on Miller earlier this year , which was clearly intentional but not punished , and Marchand never stops making an idiot of himself , believe me the Bruins are the absolute dirtiest team since the Broad Street Bullies , time and time again the Goonz have gotten favorable rulings ... Stop Crying !!! |

Come on Ty, you can't honestly pretend that Boston hasn't gotten away with stuff several times this season. I doubt you're going to get a lot of sympathy. |

I think the point is more to prove that it goes both ways. This blog gets invaded by trolls on a regular basis saying the B's are favored by the NHL and get treated differently, yet there are numerous incidents that prove it goes both ways. |

Totally agree with the responses, the B's are in no way princesses and have been on the favorable end of a few non-suspensions themselves.
Be careful of how often you shed a year on this subject in Beantown. |

Wow... I mean... borderline.... but all that video shows was how much of a homer your broadcasters are. MY GOD... there was nothing questionable about Neil's hit. It was gorgeous and I loved it.
Turris hit was needless... but is it worthy of a guaranteed suspension? Not at all... it would be one where if he was suspended for 1-3 games it wouldn't be a HUGE surprise... but if he wasn't suspended (no previous offense, not that type of player) again.. wouldn't be a HUGE surprise.
Get over yourselves.... focus on some real problems... like Tim Thomas and his (frank)ing mouth. |

My thoughts exactly. Anything happens to a Bruin and that guy turns into a complete moron. |

Did Shanahan apologize to Turris for the inappropriate comments of the NESN broadcast crew. Reports at this end were more focused on the unprofessional manner of the NESN CREW. |

Honestly, the Turris hit doesn't look that bad Ty. It was a fast-developing play and I doubt he could have pulled up even if he tried. It was bang-bang, just like the Chara hit on Pacman last year.
The hit that should have been a five game suspension was Gill's knee on Peverly. That was blatant and intentional.
Inconsistent is the only way to describe what the NHL disciplinary committee has been for years. Clearly Shanny's hands are tied or he just doesn't have a clue. Either way, something needs to be done and soon. |

He is an embarrassment to hockey and especially the Bruins. I don't know how Brick hasn't punched him in the face yet. |

I feel bad for you fans... I thought john garret was bad... but he just talks more about food than anything else
A little homerism for a color-commentator is expected... but that is extreme... and thats not even as bad as I've seen in other games |

Didn't leave his feet, I don't think...definitely seemed to target the head. And even if the head wasn't the 'target', that's what he hit and that's what needs to be mitigated. |

That one announcer is the very definition of "Homer". He's pretty bad. The Neil hit was gold. In fact, Boychuk skated into Neil as much as Neil hit him. |
