hope Preds put a ping pong table with a bow on it in front of visitor locker room..
A note saying enjoy your summer vacation would be tempting fate though.. |

Maybe one of the security people can roll it out there while the hand shakes are happening...maybe even with a set of golf clubs. |

We're getting way ahead of ourselves here! Lotta work left to be done!
Just in case, I always liked the idea of just shaking their hand and acting like you expected to beat them because you knew (and they now know) you are the better team. |

Last nights game reminded me a lot of past Preds teams. It seemed they were playing very focused on their defensive responsibilities. This could have been the game plan knowing Detroit would come out bringing everything they've got. The lack of shots was frustrating to watch but you could see the shift after starting the 3rd period 0-0. The Preds scoring was as opportunistic as you will ever see. You can't say enough about the play of Peks. Simply amazing!!!
Let's finish this thing off on home ice.... Let's go Preds! |

It was nice to see 'Playoff Legwand' back last night. That's the Legwand we're used to, not the ineffective doppelganger that's been out on the ice for the previous games.
Welcome back, Leggy. We missed you. |

So impressive, are these Preds. Winning twice at the Joe - how did they do that?
My team's never been able to do that.......
Phoenix Coyotes TV Analyst Tyson Nash is on the island by himself. “As clean of a hit as you are going to get” was his analysis of the Torres hit. He is just flat out wrong here. - pmccann
Tyson Nash is an idiot. He's always been an idiot. He'll always be an idiot.

Agreed.
I don't like prospect of having to go back to Detroit. That would all to likely lead to a game 7 which all bets are off then!
That being said we've not played anywhere near our best offensively except for parts of Game 2 and have won 3 games by jumping on the few errors Wings have made. Cautiosly optimistic for Friday night.
I feel bad for Howard a little bit. All of Detroit throwing him under the bus. Life of a goalie in the Big Time. He's played awfully well IMO. but..

Its official....I can no longer yell at Klein from my seat. I think shaving 1/2 his head has helped his game. Put it in his contract Poile!
I wouldn't say Leggy is "back"...closer
I know we have pined about this before....but Trotzy, if you are going to play Tootoo/Hali 5 minutes - why not give Wilson a chance in those 5 minutes too?

Just what game were you watching? Aside from Leggy's pocket-picking of Cleary with 38 seconds to go, he was virtually non-existent.
Between his defensive lapses in coverage down low (Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall...?), blown face-offs, lazy checking (if at all), turnovers and sloppy passes, he did very little.
Legwand is the most frustrating player on the team. He shows-up when he wants to and seldom plays with a fire in his belly.
If he plays to his potential, then yes, he's a considerrable talent. But I for one am tired of his lack of passion and heart. Why else did Trotz relegate him to the 4th line!? I know Trotz pulled him back onto the 2nd, but a message was suppossedly sent.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this assessment. |

Hey guys-
On the first goal, did the pass from Rads tip/deflect off anyone or did it go right to Bourque's stick? Couldn't tell but if so- heck of a pass. Think it might have gotten overshadowed by Marty's incredible one.

Dear Kevin Klein,
I think Pred Nation owes you an apology. I know I do. At times throughout the season I wished you would have been benched, scratched or even traded. I'm not sure we would have a 3-1 series lead if it were not for you....and Pekka. Respect.
I hate to see Hossa leave on a stretcher. Hope he recovers.

I'm pretty sure it hit off a Wings player skate and went right to Gabby's tape. I'm sure Rads would tell you its a no look behind the back tape to tape |

I think for this game 5 we need to actually have Willy out there and sit Yip. Only reason being is he will be rearing to go, and as offensive as he is - that's exactly what we will need Friday night. If you do something like:
Erat - Fish - SK
AK - Leggy - Radu
Horny - Spals - Willy
Hali - Goose - Bourque
Then you've got spark on every line (Erat, Radu, Willy, Bourque), defense on every line (Fish, Leggy, Spals, Goose) and a setup guy on every line (SK, AK, Horny, Hali). The wicked thing, is that all but 1 of the setup guys can be finishers, too. |

If I'm playing Game 5 to win and I know I can further stick it to Bertuzzi by planting a ping pong table and golf clubs by the locker room door after a win, I'm going to be playing that much harder. |

I thought it was Berts skate. Either way, yes, it tipped off something because it came back out at a different angle from whence it came. |
