Classy. I remember that goal like it was yesterday. I remember thinking that it was a dagger to the heart of the evil dragon known as Leafs nation. I'm surrounded by Leafs fans at work and amongst my friends who like to trash talk, and I've had 8 years of silence!

I had no idea that it would begin years of futility, but I must say, I have enjoyed it and I hope it continues...

Those final 4 minutes are still probably the most exciting 4 minutes of sports I have ever seen.

probably. i do. i also remember JR's goal right after that sent the leafs into the abyss from which they have yet to emerge.

As for that Tucker hit, I always loved how Kapanen fought his way back to the bench... most guys would have been content to lie down and wait for the whistle in that situation.

Kapanen's still playing, he retired, took off one year, divorced from his wife and returned for this season.

I was at that game and it was awful.
