Probably wouldn't have had to be a comeback if you had Wade Redden in the lineup.

What a comeback. I was prepared to focus on game six to tie. An unbelievable late goal and then the winner from Staal and I believe this IS a team of destiny. Things are falling that way. Unbelievable comeback.

what a crazy game they just won't give up, but they still need one more win. Wednesday can't come fast enough.

It was a gift-wrapped penalty by Ward... he sits, your goalie is pulled and it's a 5 on 3. Not that unbelievable lol, especially since you then had a powerplay in OT.

After going 7 straight without an ot win, we have now won two straight. what else is there to say about richards? Guy is very clutch. He stepped up at the right time during the regular season and has been excellent in the playoffs imo. silencing the critics. We saw him step up in game 6 last round, setup gabby's gwg in 3ot and now tied it with 6.6 seconds. Love the pens fans comments from other threads.

clearly you didn't see the rangers first 3 power plays. they had a total of zero, yes zero, shots on goal. for them to get goal on the power play was minor miracle.

Well, I always thought the Kings were the team of destiny.

We will see if either of us were truly destined to watch our team win the Cup.

Or cry.

The fact that a Caps guy took a penalty with 20 secs left isnt that big of an advantage. 6 on 4 is not the same as a 5 on 3, much less ice to work with. If the Caps win the faceoff they can clear it all the way down with no icing. that basically ends the game. if its 6 on 5 and they clear it down the Rangers would still have about 12 seconds and an offensive zone faceoff to work with. The penalty was only really a big advantage in OT

Miracle at MSG?

Miracle seems a bit strong... Good comeback, but I'd hardly say miracle, it wasn't like it was a 5 goal game, or against a heavily favored team...

the rangers were 0 for 3 on the power play before the goals. The capitals controled play from the 2nd period right up until ward high sticking hagelin. nothing short of a miracle

That was tough to watch.. But congrats to you all. The Rangers took advantage of what they were given. The penalty was a must call. I don't see the Caps winning 2 in a row against this Ranger team..

I wouldn't go that far. We thought the same thing when Drury tied it against the Rangers back in the 07 playoffs "comeback" game

What a win.

No one can tell me we were "lucky to win" tonight.

I got that line from a few islander friends who clearly didn't watch the game.

The worst part of this is that the entire third period I listened to on the radio. Had to pick the girl friend up from JFK. But hey we won that's all that matters this time of year.

We have to go win game 6

Great win, and not to nitpick or anything Jan, but the Drury goal was 2007 if you want to change it.

Thanks, brain said 2007 and fingers wrote 2005, then went to bed as had to be on a 6:18 train into NY. Fixed.
