If you had to bet a mortgage payment , do you see the Hawks making at least 1 significant move from now until July 3 ?

By significant I mean , acquiring a top 6 forward or acquiring a top 4 d man or acquiring a real goalie and acquiring one or more of the above with Bowman's precocious prospects and or Stalberg and #4 ??

Ill say it again , the NHL roster of the Chicago Blackhawks is no where near a cup contender as is.

It has to be easier now to upgrade the roster than at the trade deadline. I understand to a point why Stan Bowman did pay a #1 pick for a top 2 center at last years deadline but now , the Draft and Free Agency must be used to make this Hawks team better.

I coached against Boo Nieves this year and he was pretty slick. He has yet to grow into his body yet but moves the puck well. He is not a traditional goal scorer but will be involved and around the net. He may be a 20-goal scorer int he NHL at best. Not a banger but a really good athlete. It will be interesting to see what his role is at Michigan next year.
