I don't remember Gene specifically. I remember Carrie Doll being the weekend news anchor and I thought very unpure things about her on Sundays.

Surprised to not see a blog talking about how Eberle got screwed over at the awards and that it's understandable Nuge didn't win but is still awesome.

lmfao, ahhhhhh Carrie. I think Gene was gone in the 90's sometime. I know a patron big tim at the bar i work at said you went to school here but didnt know what years.
As for the comments on Oilers fans. Sure it sucks that they seem to be supporting the team even though they are losing. But ya gotta have respect for fans that buy tickets to the team even though they are sucking and still support the team, as compared to fans of teams like the Islanders, Panthers, Lightning, Stars and Hurricanes who cant even seem to sell out the building when they are winning let alone losing. Say what you will about the fans accepting failure and losing, at least Oil and even Flames fans support their team through thick and thin.

Re: no. 20, that's funny because I've felt much the same way about the Oilers ever since they stopped being relevant, which is why Vancouver became my new most hated team quite a few years ago. This is what the BoA has been reduced to huh, each fanbase making fun of the other for having a slow rebuild.

(Don't worry, I'm fully aware of how stupid the Flames' "limbo" state is, but I reserve the right to still talk a bit of trash at least until the Oilers actually get closer to the playoffs than the Flames. Which will happen eventually, I don't doubt it, but I've also heard that for the last 3 seasons)

Would Rich Peverly fit with the Oilers? He's good enough now to play on the second line especially if Gagner is traded. I wouldn't sign him long term though

I didn't write a blog about the awards because the NHL Awards are pointless and really, really bad. Who cares what the media from the East thinks? If it was a fair process I'd care more, but it isn't and hasn't been for years. So I don't care. I feel for Nuge and Eberle, because both should receive bonus money for what they've brought to the team.

I caught the first song by Nickelback when I stopped in to say hi to my parents. They sucked more than I thought they would. My mom shut it off half way through, after declaring they are no Perry Como.

I feel the same way bout the flames and nucks, started hating the nucks, mostly due to the fair weather, egotistical, arrogant and ignorant fans, and feeling sorry for the flames. Being that i grew up in the 80's and had a brother who was a flames fan and we literally had fist fights over our 2 chosen teams, liking the flames would be like dogs and cats living together. I will always hate them, but I have come to respect the enemy. The casucks are an entirely different story

The joke is a little old. Can I suggest some new material? I'm still too fat, and my apartment looks like an episode of Hoarders right now. Oh, and I also own two pairs of Hockey Night in Canada underwear.
