i'm from Ontario and I prefer to see tough Ontario-born players on the Leafs. I'll admit it. I agree with 100% of what Cherry said. and i don't even like Cherry

Point was, Cherry tried saying Burke hates Ontario born players and favors Americans and Europeans.

Cherry had a point. Burke was saying that Ontario guys come into Toronto and have the game of their lives, so why not get some for our team? It wouldn't hurt to at least have one hometown kid. But he was wrong because CLEARLY Burke does not purposely avoid having Ontario kids. And it has been proven that having several Ontario kids does not necessarily mean its going to be a good team. The worst Leaf team ever statistically had something like 8 Ontario kids on it.

It is nice to have but you can't base your team structure off of it. It's not Burke's fault that Kadri is not ready yet. As he says, he bases his decisions off skill not passports.

I think it was more geared at the Wilson and Burke tandem. Wilson is gone. Run and gun offence is history. Crash and bang is in. Enter the Canadian style of play.

I think it's garbage. I mean, sure it would be nice. But, to me, it's just something for people to pick on.

I know the "argument" was about players on the Leafs, but, if he had something against players from Ontario, then why would he draft kids from Ontario?
