So what were the original pieces in the Ryan deal? Can it still happen without JVR? |

What are you saying?
"How can anyone think this Flyers defense, right now, is any better than it was last May without adding someone of stature and Luke Schenn doesn't it in that department?"
Seriously, I cannot understand this sentence. I think the defense is better after adding Schenn. Carle isn't gone yet, Mez is healthy and the two young guys (Bourdon and Gus) have another year of experience. |

the most significant signing this off season for the Philadelphia Flyers will be Michael Leighton additionally the most significant trade has already occurred with Luke Schenn, enjoy your 2012-13 Philadelphia Flyers, rock on! |

Most of the guys the Flyers could have interest in, such as bringing Carle back, are waiting on Suter or Parise anyhow.
So regardless of whether or not the Flyers are in the mix for either Parise or Suter, the players that are plan B guys are going to have their salaries driven by what Suter and Parise get.
Also, if the Flyers do add Parise in FA, they can trade another forward for defense help. Adding a guy like Parise isn't adding a luxury forward. It's adding a star level guy who allows a team to move "luxury" third liners for defense help |

Poor Bryz - now he's going to be blamed for marquee players not wanting to come here. Seriously, though, put yourself in a guy like Parise's shoes. Would you put your cup-winning hopes in the hands of Bryz?? I sure wouldn't. |

Suter wants to go somewhere media isn't crazy. Last thing Wings should do is talk to reporters camped out at the airport.

But it's more likely it's Bryz's fault. |

Carle IS "gone". He is no longer Flyer property and
he is likely to get much more than the Flyers would be
willing to pay. I hope there is a deal for Weber or an offer
sheet in the works. |

Minnesota checked all four boxes:
- money
- geography (pretty much hometown for both guys)
- chance to be "the guy" at their respective positions
- chance to play together
End of story. |
