I think the Canucks settle down tonight and actually play hockey.

They need to, if Phoenix beats them they are 4 points back with 2 games in hand.

Schedule gets easier for them as well for the next few games, not a lot of playoff teams.

They will starting putting together some wins

I personally have no issue with what you wrote except the " Clean Hit" from Nolan on Henrik Sedin and the Sestito reaction. Every game L.A. plays Vancouver, Nolan takes a heavy run at Henrik sometimes legal sometimes bordering on charging. Legal or not sometimes those people need to pay a price so they don't keep running the teams star player. Would it be any different if Nolan ran Crosby every time they played or Kane or someone elses top player. Probably not. Now I would have preferred that Nolan would have dropped the gloves like Brown did and since he didn't, I would rather Sestito then take a healthy run at him till he did. But it is what it is.

Also what needs to be taken in to consideration is since the Canucks got the holy crap kicked out of them by Boston I think they have felt the embarrassment and feel the need to over compensate with displays like the one in L.A.

Personally I would rather have the 2011 team with a wee bit more grit and less diving then a thug driven team. Good read. It's nice to be able to read the Kings blog again

Canucks don't really have an identity right now. No longer have the same skill that they had just a few years ago, PP sucks now as well so they're not an offensive team. They're usually pretty solid defensively and have a great PK, but yet they aren't nearly as big/physical as LA/STL so really they're stuck in "no-man's land" IMO.

Torts has done well with what he's had to work with, Gillis needs to add a legit top 6 forward or 2 with size and some grit between now and the start of next year or he'll probably be fired by the end of next season IMO. Easier said than done of course, especially with yet another weak UFA class(most likely).

Tortarella's Eastern Conference definition of "tough" doesn't match the Western Conference's definition of "tough". In the West, being "tough" is hitting hard, playing physical, heavy forecheck, and doing it for 60 minutes. In the East, it is having a thug who can fight. Sorry Torts, but you were not the right fit the Canucks.

The one thing Torts did do that I like. Is he made the Canucks a far less diving team. All teams and players will pull off dives. But the Canucks are doing it far less and obvious. And for that I give him credit.

The problem is not Vancouver, or a perception of toughness. all these conversations start with "Dustin Brown questionable hit on player X". Expect SJ to go after Brown for his illegal Knee on Hertl.

It's a point not overlooked. I used to respect the guy, but the cup run changed all that. Sure he's a champian and all... Hope it was worth your reputation... Cuz you are DB more than ever now BRO. Surprised Wilson doesn't have a hit out on him... may be he does.

It's about the only thing Torts has done that I like. What's Sutter done about your diver???

Ive already said every teams players will dive. No player on any other team would have dived more than a Canucks player of years past. Cry all you want. If you think Hertle's leg was targeted your clearly an idiot. As I feel we're already seeing.

Clearly you are a homer defending his douche. But hey... We are not trading resumes here, so I don't know the level of hockey GENIUS I am dealing with.

Add Muzzin to the list after tonight's game. The rest of the league needs a accept that LA kings hockey is cheap shots

first off all nice game by quick tonight..............brown is always one of the leaders in hits so by law of averages he is going to have some questionable hits. How many games has he been suspended by the league? Kings victims like to point to brown to sleep better at night. Get over it people, this is not tennis.

Bro.. I know alot of Kings fans that were so used to losing that they didn't see what they had or were about to experience. I told of those friends that that team was to be feared. I felt they had the right combination of size, grit, talent, D core and Goaltending to win it all. It just took Sutter to bring it all together.

Good for them-- A more dominant playoff team may never seen again. It was a very boring playoffs for the rest of us. Incredible run.

Those Canucks Fans that come here to talk hockey will all admit we never liked Kesler and Burrows diving antics. Nobody of any real intelligence supported it. We felt more of an attachment to the 94' team. It's OK for you to admit you don't like DB's DOUCHE BAG antics. Just own it and move on.

In reference to the bolded statement....YOU WIN.
