Happy for Pageau to get a chance to play in the playoffs & i'll be cheering for you guys but pretty happy for the haul for a UFA Pageau! |
|
|
|
These are my two favorite teams. And I feel they both did well.
Pageau will be a beast in the playoffs. He does everything and has some hands. He's probably a pass first guy, but he can score and has break away speed. He's dangerous on the PK too....shorties.
Great pick up by Lou. The money he is after though...I get it's his year to cash in but.....I wouldn't go over three years and/or 4m. |

So weird not to feel like the Sens didn't get killed in a trade...
Good Luck! |

Agreed. Good deal for both sides. Dream Theater fan, I presume?

PHI had interest in J-G Pageau but was not prepared to pay the price NYI paid, so if the Flyers were to get Thompson, it’s more of a depth move:
Isles fans would have gone full tilt if FLyers got Pagaue.
- niteislander
Agreed. Steep price but you can’t have it both ways. We all wanted Lou to add. He did. I think he added a player that can potentially help us a lot in the playoffs. Hopefully we can get him locked up. |

I wouldn't mind giving more term based on his age if he proves to be a good fit, for me it's about keeping the AAV down. |

For a 3rd. That seems like kind of a waste, but I guess the Pens don't really care about that 3rd |

Yeah agreed. Anyone can go to Pit and kick ass we’ve all seen it before but not sure how much this help the pens. Good vet presence but do the pens really need that? |

Chris Johnston says he's heard the Florida Panther's ownership has given management a directive to cut 10M in salary next year. YIKES
That team is a mess |

I'll laugh if Marleau and Thorton end up back with the Sharks. |

JHS for Hoffman maybe?! (I know that doesn't really address their future cap situation since Hoffman is a UFA at the end of the season but I can dream, haha) |

There’s a zero percent chance the panthers trade us Hoffman for JHS. We would have to add a helluva lot to that deal. |
