Toronto was crap too. They owned the second period badly and if we had just pulled our heads out of our butts for that f'in brutal powerplay maybe we could have got at least a point. I think the leafs had 2 - 2 on 1s on the Panthers powerplay which was awful

You’re telling me. I’ve been critical about that signing/contract since the summer. Brutal one...

The ironic thing is that Tallon always talks about the future and being smart about it, but signs that massive anchor of a contract, which will no doubt make things very difficult in the future.

Many folks said it’s the cost of doing business. True, but I think there were other goalie options out there with smaller price tags. I get that he was the perceived best candidate, but it’s certainly looking rough right now.

Pretty poor goaltending is going to break a team in the cap era. Bob hasn't been consistently good enough.

If he had a .913 save % like last year that is good for 20 goals against prevented. Have to think that is between 8 and 12 points which would be a lock for a playoff spot. Even if it is 6 they're in a good spot.

It is tough to build a good D core in the NHL. The Bruins have a top 10 D in attempts against but their goalie is also playing out of his mind. If the fancy cats had at least decent goaltending they would be in a much better spot.

Bob has been streaky in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if next year he had another great year.

Bob can be a vezina goalie in the playoffs or next year. So it'll be interesting to see what Tallon does, or if they fire him for a new GM and what they do.

Either way, trade Ekblad to the leafs.

Im betting tallon is gone for not addressing the defense at the deadline. They cant even clear the puck out of the zone

After Toronto beating Vancouver and the schedule ahead for Florida, its safe to sing "Turn out the lights, the party is over".

The team is downright awful. So hard to watch. Ten million dollar goalie gets fried in a shootout. Only player on the team worth keeping is Acciari.

Well toews is about the best in the business in shootouts but it shoulda never went that far. I'll keep watching cause i paid for the service but it does make my blood pressure rise and the couch takes an awful beating
