Thanks Sean, I think this was a best case for the team, and Dunns reps likely did him a disservice here. If it’s a bet on yourself scenario, 4 years was too long with the cap going up significantly in the next two years. If it was a get the best long term security after a career year, the term and $ figure are too low.
On to the last piece of business. Which teams could be in the market for a goalie with a significant cap hit who had an off year?
New Jersey maybe?
Boston, depending on what happens with Swayman?
Edmonton if they flip Campbell?
Winnipeg depending on Helly?
Anaheim if they move Gibson? |

Think it was a mutually beneficial deal. Cost was not too bad and Dunn gets that shot at one more big payout in ufa. RF got it done and really think thats about it.
Moving Dreidger is going to be a tough one. Cant see a lot of teams rolling the dice there. Flat cap and goalie market being meh its more likely he stays in Coachella at least to start. Teams end up making moves with a bad start, or injuries get hitting them, then it might happen.
