Josh Biringer: PG 5 Preview vs. NYI

hoping for a better effort than Philly. Pre season or not, they didn't play well, especially in the 3rd. Flyers deserved that game. Excited to see the young guys tonight

That Bratt- Hughes-Tofolli line..Scary

Every player in the top six could easily be a 30 goal scorer. This is nuts.

Team held what looks like a full roster practice today. Looks like it could be the opening night roster, minus 2 players. The 25 players were:

Forwards - Nico, Jack, Timo, Holtz, Bratt, Toffoli, Mercer, Palat, Haula, Lazar, Bastian, Tierney, Nosek, and McLeod

Defense - Siegs, Dougie, Luke, Marino, Bahl, Miller, Smith, and Nemec

Goalies - Vanecek, Schmid, and Kallgren

Nemec and Kallgren probably going down to Utica, then i guess thats the likely 23 man roster? Surprised Tierney is there. No Foote or Thompson on the ice with this group. Imo, that'd be a pretty big mistake to lose one or both of Foote/Thompson to keep Tierney on the roster if that ends up being the case.

Don't you miss the days where clowe was penciled into the top line

I am liking the forward lines

I know it's preseason but both the Hughes and Nico lines are producing each game so that is a positive that you can go into the season and not need to mess with the lines much as there seems to be chemistry at least at this part

I can't see Hughes and nemec being a pair, as you said before nemec probably goes to Utica

Good problems to have

Kallgren has been placed on waivers. Ruff says there will be more cuts today, and possibly more tomorrow.
