I'd add:
Korch getting through the whole year and grieving without a complete mental break down. That I think showed a lot of character.
Richardson's post game interviews were insightful and we can't determine how good of a coach he is from that but it was nice to hear how he broke down plays and looked at performance. Way better than the we need to skate harder, be more difficult to play against platitudes.
I think for the most part - even though many of us don't agree on everything all the time its been a lot of good discussion with out devolving into nasty personal arguments or name calling or whatever which is pretty cool. |

Take the best player at #9 hopefully Odunze is there. Bears should not trade back for some picks that are a B- or B grade prospect. Be greedy and take that A+ player and keep it moving. KFC is on the clock .... tic ...tok |

You ever think there is too much clock for some of these teams that want to make a jump and all they have is time between now and the draft to ruminate and obsess about what they should or shouldn't do even they have absolutely no idea who will realistically be available or which draft pick will eventually pan out?
Like they could over smart their way into stupid because there's just so much time and too many possibilities?

Richardinson for cap space is not being fleeced. Vancouver got what they wanted, cap space to keep other players. Has worked out pretty well for them also, as well as Chicago, sounds like win-win, not fleeced.
Esposito/Hodge/Stanfield for Martin/Marotte/Jack Norris is a fleece.
Brock for Broligo is a fleece.
Richardinson for cap space is not a fleece. It ends up being one of the cap dump trades (Mrazek as you pointed out as another) that has worked out. Vancouver also has pawned off Beauvillier's contract on the Hawks, that didn't go well for Chicago, but was more cap space for Vancouver. |

I'll also add some smaller victories:
Slaggert fitting right in to a solid checking line role and even brought his nose for the net. Flawed stat, but he was also +1 on a team that was shut out in four of his 16 games.
Kaiser going down to Rockford and coming back much better. Paired with pylons he was -1 after his last call up and -4 on the year with 41 games played.

Most people grieve but don’t have complete mental breakdowns over the death of a parent. Yes it was heartbreaking for him and showed allot of fortitude to come back so quickly but you don’t need to oversell it. |

Lot of good games on last night. See a lot of young players learning lots of lessons the hard way in the playoffs.
I know size is wanted but you also need guys who can put the puck in the back of the net.

Hopefully they bring in some NHL talent to pair with these players next season.

Some good. Kurashev showing some chemistry with Bedard and putting up 50+ points. I hope he continues to evolve. Is he a long term solution on Bedard's wing or just a placeholder? Most likely the latter. Hawks have time to figure it out.
Some bad. More or less a wasted year for Reichel. The guy had an opportunity to take a top 6 position by storm and earn himself a bigger contract than what he's going to get. Instead, due to his play, he got bounced down to the 4th line, got scratched a few times, and sent down to Rockford. |

Some good, many prospects doing well in their various leagues. As you say Kurashev bringing his play up. Obviously Bedard, Vlasic and Korchinski.
The bad, awful hockey for Blackhawk fans to watch on a nightly basis.
Light at the end of the tunnel, Davidson alluding that the tank era is over and he will start moving the team forward, however incrementally. |

The Good: Watching Blackhawk hockey when Weidemann/Murray are on the broadcast
The Bad: When you have Laurel and Hardy doing the broadcast.

Question for Wiz....who typed your responses in that article?
Just busting chops...congrats again. - mohel
You noticed that he must have badly cut and pasted the evaluations and had the same evaluation for two different players, Konsta Helenius & Liam Greentree, and when I actually read the article late last night I thought I was stoned, with the repeated sentence fragments. There were the usual tabs of Wiz misspellings too.
Alas, my chance to be considered a hockey peer of Tab Banford star just de-materizled before my eyes.
I prefer speaking prospects with you all here. |

I have a feeling in a few years we will be saying "Williams over_______, what was Poles smoking'.
Will Williams be on the level Mahomes is? I am not sure.

I don't think so. When i watched his highlights and such he has what i saw in both Mahomes and Burrow, fantastic down field vision especially when things begin to break down. |

You sure?
I don't think so Williams is the QB to take. Time will tell but do you want to be the GM that passed on Stroud and Williams to keep Fields only for him to not get any better?. That GM will never be able to work again in the NFL |

Odunze would be a nice consolation prize but if Bowers or Alt are there, those are my two choices. Or Nabors.
An Edge rusher is more of a need but just take the bpa on your board. |

Nabers may be taken before Harrison.
The FL will n not level punishment on Atlanta until later in the year so any punishment will be enacted in teh 2025 NFL draft.
So, the Bears are back in the position where it is unlikely Joe Alt is there, and all three WRs are gone.
If Michigan's McCarthey hasn't been taken, maybe the Bears add a pick to drop a couple slots.
It's. it like Minny will need that two spot improvement to land him unless the jets / Bears trade with a team who wants him.
Bowers recent medical procedure may snuff any trades up for him. |

Nabers will not be taken before MHJ. Bowers hamstring injury woldn't scare me away from taking him at all. Yes, there is a very slim chance Alt will be there but crazier things have happened.
I woulldn't move back. Just take the pick and move on |

It's Odunze or Dallas Turner for me. Honestly Odunze is not a consolation prize. All 3 of top receivers are similar. Hopefully he drops in our laps and he selected. I just don't want Poles to trade back for lower draft prospects |

Wiedeman/Murray do such a great job. Hard to understand the decision to hire Vosters. He has not grown into this role like some had expected.
You had Bob Miller out there for years, with Jim Fox. I used to listen to them a long time ago when I lived out west and caught games on cable. As good a duo as I've ever gotten to listen to, not that I've listened to nearly as many as some on here.
Hockey is probably the hardest game to call of the four major sports. I would think it's a pretty limited pool of people who can do it successfully. |
