Is there any promise for Jaroslav Chmelar? That another big kid we have

For the people worried about size, we certainly have a bunch of big dudes in the pipeline

Which is why I wanted Drury to take a flier on a kid with skill to see what he could become rather than the constant focus on size

Heard some stuff on Chlemar, borderline shot at making it

Jan,

Thank you so much for the new blog. Keep the topics and ideas moving. I didn't feeling like having to defend my stance in another proverbial knock down / drag out.

Brukie,

Thank you for the kind words boss. I appreciate it.

We’ve done a good job over the years at finding diamonds in the rough. Late rd fliers

Seems like this year more then ever teams drafted size so maybe we’re ahead of the game

I think there’s quite a few young players ahead of him

very excited about Othmann, Berard and Perreault. I think as bad as Drury has been. his drafting has given some hope.

If trouba ends up staying we can still replace kakko with a rw counting up to as much as $4m against the cap depending on the lindgren/schneider signings. With some salary retention that could be a pretty decent player (cough ehlers cough)

May I interest you in a gently-used Pierre Engvall?

I haven’t been keeping tabs really on the prospects but from what I read, Othmann had a fairly unimpressive season. More than half of his points came on the PP and he was not noticeable for the most part at even strength.

Berard was the prospect down there that is more ready and drove even strength play.

Alternative school of thought, maybe you do want him.

I walk by it every day after work but can’t justify the 45+ minute wait

Will need to throw it in the rotation for next year though.

I know, and 45 minutes is putting it lightly. I waited an hour and ten minutes. But it's miles better than The Halal Guys. The spicy rice is out of this world and the chicken is seasoned perfectly.

Fuck I could go for a mixed platter right now LOL. Definitely work it into next years rotation and let me know what you think

Tom you’ll probably relate, Jim gave me a block on Twitter for saying this summer has been disappointing and the rangers window has a shut a bi bc they can’t improve the team and are running it back. Pessimistic or realistic?

Jim you seem like a good guy but your emotions remind me of Louis Litt lol

Othmann just has to improve his skating. Looks like a solid middle 6 player still
