A disgusting organization led by Stan Bowman, who was complicit in the Kyle Beach sexual assault and assaults of a high school and university student.

Ekholm is a weak first pairing or a strong second pairing D.
Bouchard is a very solid second pairing D and good on the PP.
Nurse I guess is a good 2nd pairing D.
The rest are AHLers.
This is a disaster on D! Combine that with fwds that aren't responsible on D...oh man.

And as I said earlier, everyone will blame it on the goalie.

He was punished for his role in that. Time to move on. People make mistakes and poor choices.

D is far from good enough.

In fact the D is arguably weaker than last year which wasnt good by any means. Ceci was no Norris candidate but the guy played serviceably above his skill level. You traded him away, let Broberg go so realistically whos going to step in and do a better job than Ceci? Kulak? Stecher? Brown? Emberson?

Emberson was a rookie who played like 30 games
Stecher played 54 games last season and is typically the 6th/7th D
Brown is another guy sparsly used outside of Arizona
We all know Kulack is a bottom pair D.

The offense will need to carry this team.

Its worse than last season. Playoff team had Ceci and Broberg which were still better than the current 4th-7th Dmen

Dear Kyle Beach, everyone has been punished for their role in your sexual attack that was pushed aside, denied and hidden from timely intervention and allowed further people to be molested. Time to move on, forget about the trauma, people make mistakes and poor choices.

Imagine you are a foreman for a construction crew. One day, someone on your crew accuses another of misconduct. They didn't contact the police.

You are asked to attend a meeting. You attend as the foreman, but your own supervisor attends, so does the company Vice-President, and President. These are the most powerful people in your company.

The matter is discussed. The President says he will deal with HR on this. So from your perspective, this resolution is underway. You show up to work the next day and focus on your job and your construction crew.

Later, you find out the President waited two weeks before notifying HR. That was wrong. He should face consequences for that. But somehow, you also are forced to quit your job, because, I guess, you should have been calling the company President to make sure he followed through on his promise. You are unemployed for years and become a better person. But that isn't good enough and you should rot forever.

The end.

I’m sure Kyle is over it. People make mistakes for goodness sakes. Anyone makining light of the assault needs to know a victim so they can see how harmful this is.

You skipped over the part where, after the person was fired for their inappropriate conduct, you are contacted as a job reference for them. Rather than talking about the incident, you give the person a glowing review which allows them to work with people under the age of 18 in the same situation you know they were accused of sexual assault in.

People defending Bowman are acting like there is only 1 job in the world, either he is allowed to be a GM or he sits at home forever. It's like if a military general makes a series of bad decisions that result in battles that should have been won being lost. He doesn't get kicked out of the army, but he should never be put in the position to make those same mistakes again. Bowman shouldn't be banned from ever working in sports again; but he should never be put in a prestigious position of power, like GM, ever again. It's shameful that the Oilers are willing to risk giving Bowman enough influence to put people at risk the same way he has in the past, just because it might give them a slightly better chance at winning.

The playoffs don't start until April. And now they actually might have some cap flexibility to make in season moves like Friedman said. None of Holloway, Broberg, or Ceci were major contributors.

Name any crime you want. Make it murder. The point is your company Presidemt said he was going to handle it. So Stan's crime was not continually pestering his company President to make sure he handled it. Like get some perspective. Stan didn't assault anyone. He didn't suggest that it be ignored. He trusted the word of his superiors. Far worse has been done in life.

You can't seriously put Stetcher in your top 4 and then say the defense is good enough. That's as bad or worst as the Wings playing Petry in their top 4. Both are bottom pairing guys at best.

I am no Bowman defender (especially on this issue), but per the Sporting News:

The investigation did not reveal any recommendations provided for future employment by the Blackhawks. Records from USA Hockey, Miami University and Houghton found no evidence of references and Aldrich was hired at the high school as a volunteer through the recommendation of a family member.

https://www.sportingnews....dvghc204apyw1ssgggrch4x1g

Everyone involved is poopty for letting it happen/get that far in the first place, but recommendations were not given for other employment.

I'm sure that Kyle has moved on more than you Nancies have, and it happened to him. Weird...
