Horrible comparison, the Leafs could only hope to sniff that kind of playoff success

We wish, we've only seen the 2nd round once.
But honestly, as a canucks fan...come on.....you really cant insult most teams.

Need to win a SC in the first half of the contract as I don't think EDM expects it to be a good value contract in the second half. His cap hit % is a little higher than what Malkin took in PIT. Still think Malkin is better than Draisaitl, though McDavid is probably better than Crosby so evens out some.

Actually, as dysfunctional as the Canucks were under Jim Benning, there’s a number of teams we can insult, the Leafs & Oilers being two of them.

If you look way down at the bottom, next to the league doormats, you’ll find the Leafs.

McDavid and Drai will finish their careers in Edmonton. Was there ever any doubt?

There was apparently according to other teams fans and Jlo.

What makes you say that? Leon scores more goals and is a better playoff performer.

For a fan of a team that has accomplished nothing in almost 55 years, you sure like to run your mouth.

Nah, not a chance. The canucks are a forgettable franchise, I cant remember that last time they were note worthy.

Moving on.

Nice signing by the oilers, a bit pricey...but he's been a beast and has been so cheap the past few years. So its all good

Ah, youre a fool that thinks the cons are useful....lol Just look what the cons have to done to healthcare and schooling in Alberta and Ontario. They've ruined it.

But I'm sure facts dont sit well with your kind, its a "blame everything on Trudeau" even if it has nothing to do with him.

Im no Trudeau fan either....but little magat wannabe pierre wont be PM either.

Need to new representation from all parties

Malkin played almost exclusively on his own line away from Crosby compared to Draisaitl with McDavid. Even ignoring the major team achievement disparity, Malkin has more individual awards. Also played in the lower scoring era so not really fair to compare gross numbers in that regard. Draisaitl does have durability advantage so I wouldn't argue taking him over Malkin.
For forward tandems, McDrai is the only one I would consider an equal or arguably better. Kucherov/Stamkos would be next so I'm not skewing for SC wins.

Malkin's prime was not that long ago and not really part of the "lower scoring era".

Malkin is 38. His prime ended in at least 2018 at 31 which is the same year goalie pad size was first restricted and scoring started to increase. Before that, scoring was about as low as the dead puck era. Hence why you seen "era adjusted" to compare different players otherwise it wouldn't make much relative sense. Scoring is up 13.5% from a decade ago.

You make some good points. As for individual awards, Malkin has played a lot more seasons so let's wait on that one.
