Eklund: Barrie to Agree to PTO in Calgary... Good Move for Flames?

Maybe....maybe he has a decent season and gets flipped to a playoff team looking for some D depth at the TDL for a 3rd...if a real good season a 2nd. Likely more probable he is on decline and on a lesser team has a worse season haha..if they even sign him from the PTO, that is.

Why doesn't one of the people IN the Jets part of the site write the blog. That's what we did in the Sens one. Originally we were all taking turns and one guy has access to post it. Then his blogs were better than ours anyhow so he sorta became the defacto Sens blog writer. He's good. Analysis has been sound and gives us all something to comment on/talk about.

Solid move for the Flames.

This sort of move is great, I don't see the harm. Again in a 6-7 role Ty can be a help for the flames! Keep him confident. I don't see a resurgence of getting 50 points or more but he could eat minutes and move the puck out of the zone very effectively still.

It is quite literally a zero-downside move. They're not a playoff team and, assuming he signs a one-year deal, he either stinks and you let him walk or you can flip him for an asset at the deadline.

Tyson barrie.... whatever. Not gonna move the needle very much at all.

But under a mil, with no cap hit when he's off the active roster, it's not a bad move. It's insurance if they need a puck mover PP specialist as a 7th dman, when they hit an injury or 2.

I have a pretty good idea why there has been no reply, it’s because you’re a condescending jerk, a know it all that mocks bloggers, your in-depth knowledge is extremely limited, and when challenged you are an asshat, but that’s just my opinion.
