Don't the Jets have $5.75M of cap space with a 23-man roster? Therefore, well over $6.5M for Perfetti. Are you saying he would command MORE than this on a long-term deal?

The answer is clearly no. Perfetti likely has no desire to sign long-term. He'll be the one pushing for a 1 or 2 year deal in hopes of a big increase in production.

This is where having a Jets blogger would help.
