Gibson is a complete liability on that contract and Edmonton doesn't have cap space for him without sending bad money going back to Anaheim. Seems very risky to make such a decision so early in the season.

Saying Avs could use a bonified nhl starting goalie is like saying UHC needs an actual club name.
I suspect that Avs issues are magnified by the simultaneous absences of Toews, Nitchushkin, Drouin, Lehkonen, & Landeskog.

Yeah,even though I think Gibson would be an improvement over Georgiev, I can't see it happening unless they are 100% sure that Landeskog is not returning this season.
