Thanks Yorky. Another one bites the dust on home losses. Though valiant effort in short handed situation.

QH is doing his thing and brilliant goal to start off. Garland and Petey only forwards to drive play are being targeted. Others have to step up and help. Woody has been only other one going.

D pair of Soucy and Myers struggles with tough assignments and bad breaks. When tending can’t save them it’s been punishing for Canucks.

I assume Demko will be on the road trip practicing with team. It’s a long one so maybe just maybe he actually plays. Boeser we don’t know if he stays behind to skate with Forbort remains to be seen.

JTM on the shelf TBD. Maybe he resets and says put me on a plane for Boston. He’s often joked about being home to long the need to get on the road. I honestly hope whatever it is holding him back it’s resolved well for him.

I didn't expect the game to be as entertaining as it was, given the fact the Canucks are without three of their top five players, Miller, Demko & Boeser, but they hung in there and that's all you can ask for as a fan. Feel good game for them. They know they can play well without them and win some games if they play like that.

Feels like losing Miller gave the rest of them a little urgency they had been missing. Weren't allowed to be as big of passengers anymore. Hopefully that starts to seed their identity over the road trip

Great opportunity for EP to step up and show what he's made of during these difficult times.

Whatever it was, it worked. They played a really good game. Perhaps the terrible west coast weather has Miller experiencing some mental health issues, he needs to be traded to Ohio, back to his roots.

Thanks for the excellent recap. They looked a little more cohesive last night. Still a couple of breakdowns but the Rangers counter is up there with the best.

As discussed a bit with Northy last night, I think we need defensive help in the form of guys besides Myers and Soucy, that can take some of the Dzone starts off of their plate. Balance things out because Soucy is really struggling. I'm not so sure a healthy Forbort is the answer.

They definitely need to add to D and push the Soucy/Myers pairing down. Forbort is not going to help.

Allvin and Ruthy tend to make trades earlier in the season. They traded for Zadorov on Nov 30 last year, so around this time. Think it'll be Hoglander + 1st going out the door for a solid youngish RHD with term.

lol was WAY to hard on Petey before clearly he's the franchise player stepping up with Boeser gone and now Miller. Man Lefty you were right all along Petey is the bomb it just required patience!!!!

Looks like Podkolzin only needed better linemates to play with. Guys playing some pretty good hockey right now. It’s too bad Canuck fans don’t like rough hockey, he may of been a good option.

I guess if you're a Flames fan you might think Podkolzin is a good player.

To me he's just another one of Benning's top 10 busts, nothing new here.

Dude. The power of positivity is so strong right now. You can't slander a player or coach or management anymore here as it may not meet the contribution standards for the thread. I'm looking forward to you being better Kman. Flames look great right now wowza!!!

It's not even that they need to bump them down. Any pairing that spends over 70% of their time being deployed in the Dzone is gonna get caved. It's too much and means there's some serious sheltering going on within the group.

Maybe if they could carry the puck or make a pass they wouldn't be spending so much time in the Dzone

True. But breaking out is usually a 5 player process. Last night was the first night in a while that I wasn't thoroughly disgusted with the forwards coming back. The fact that Tocchet keeps deploying Myers and Soucy back there suggests there's nobody else he thinks can handle it. Especially with the level of suck the forwards are displaying with their support work in the Dzone.
