It's really the same old story. Bad tending and defense against a younger, skilled, determined team. Pens had some moments. It wasn't like that Utah game where they no-showed. A reminder of what a real contender looks like. Didn't watch it that closely, but I thought Jarry was bad. - madmike71
Yeah I think he really wants that 1st goal and that sharp angle goal back. Those were both pretty bad. The others I'm not sure he could have done much on. |

I didnt catch the game but the box score tells the story of why we should still be stacking Sid and Geno. Colorado won the game on one stacked line dominating and everyone else playing break even. We should be doing that too and at least giving Sid and Geno a chance to make some magic.
They are no longer capable of doing what Mack and Rantanen are, but we might put up a better fight not having those two drag around bottom 6 forwards. |

Who are the second and third line centers in that scenario? Glass and Lizotte? |

I would go
Malkin-Crosby-Pull
Rust-Lizotte-Rak
Bunting-Glass-Beau
|

Realistically that top 9 is probably as good as it gets. |

My first answer is who cares... But the real answer is probably Lizotte or Glass. Not ideal but I'd rather have a 3C playing 2C than a 3LW playing 1LW. |

Hopefully he improved significantly since we last saw him. |

He leads his current league in scoring and from what I heard is playing a lot better. He is still only 24. So hopefully he can tap some of his potential |

I'd hold off on Malkin with Crosby even though it's something I do kind of want to see. Part of it is the lack of a decent 2C option. Part is I want to keep going with the Tomasino experiment a while longer.
I'm a DOC fan but agree it was time to shuffle him down as he wasn't producing. Interested to see what Glass does with the opportunity.
Goes without saying, but the team could really use more Hagelin or Bonino types that can help in the top nine while playing strong defense. We got a bunch of decent but not great offensive players who don't back check enough. |
