Great stuff Italian Nuck, or wherever you live? Looking forward to the Canucks making a push here in the final 27 games and getting into the playoffs.

It should be a great game if everyone is healthy. It'll could be the most watched non-NHL playoff game in history, that's how popular it is down here. The NHL may be onto something. Everyone around Ohio and Arizona are talking about it, the Americans are really into it, which is good to see!

I saw Keegan Bradley on the PGA Tour with his team USA jersey on walking in to play golf last week, I wasn't even aware he's a hockey fan.

Oughta be a real good grudge match of a game. Expecting 100% intensity with the obvious bragging rights on the line.

Nice to see Hockey in the supreme lime light in our southern most province. Wonder if the orange premier will watch.

Hopefully Lankinen holds down the fort, Hughes keeps up his massive push, and Petey somehow returns to some degree of form. It'll be interesting to see how Allvin manages the TDL this year... I'm thinking both buying and selling.

Pettersson breaking 50 points would be great too.

As long as the teams winning, I don't care how many points he has. From what I've seen he's not going to turn it around this year, he was a non-factor in the 4Nations. More of the same, really. But there's nothing more to be said about it, it's been kicked around to the point it's just repetitive crap.

When he was getting phantom points, someone would post regularly about how good this kid is, now that that poster has realized how wrong he was, about the greatness of this kid, I believe that poster needs to be reminded, regularly, how wrong he has been

He wasn't getting phantom points, anymore than any other highly offensive player in the league, that's just a made up story in your head to justify your bizarre hatred towards the young man. Can't fix stupid.

In his 102 point season only 25 points were of the secondary variety, assists obviously, an extremely low number. He was the ultimate play driver.

In his 89 point season, last season, he had 34 goals and 31 primary assists, so again, only a small percentage of his points (per NHL norms) were secondary points. 24 secondary assists in this season.

Even this year where he's sucked offensively, for him, of his 23 assists 16 of them are primary assists. To go along with his 11 goals. The majority of his offense is of the primary variety.

If it makes the team better going forward, sure, but the diminishing returns will ultimately not make them better if they don't get a good young center in return. An unlikely scenario given his struggles this year and the fact Jim Benning is no longer employed as an NHL general manager.

They’re saying ticket prices rivalling the superbowl. I guess a little controversy with anthems fuels some interest.

Do you think they should wait to see how he does next season, hoping he returns to some form of normalcy, or cut your losses now and get what you can for him?

Not my call, obviously, but I have a hard time believing he just forgot how to be a good hockey player, given what he's gone through mentally, and that a good summer of training can't get him back to that PPG player.

So I would tend to keep him if it were up to me. Never sell low on something or someone you've invested a lot of time and effort into.

You're right, it's better to leave it as a 11.6 million mistake for the next 7 years, hoping his tendinitis gets better and no one else on the team picks on him and tells him to step up as a top 10 paid player in the league.

Hyperbole - what if he gets back to the point per game player again with the Canucks? What if he's traded and pulls a Joe Thornton, going on to become a 1000+ point player on another team?

What if the Canucks end up paying over 11 million dollars to a 3rd line player for the next 7 years.
A rising cap is not good asset management, which you've used when pressed.
