Thanks Zak, the boys looked good last night, although somewhat rusty after the break. Great to see Jenner back out there!
As for Werenski, I think he's the best overall defenseman in the league right now, averaging almost 27 minutes a night out there this season and going toe-to-toe with Makar in the defensive scoring race, while still being responsible defensively. |

Well, the most important week of the season is upon us:
Tuesday: Dallas
Thursday: @ Detroit
Saturday: Detroit @ The Shoe.
Next Tuesday: @Tampa
(Next Thursday) @ Florida
As of now: = with Ottawa and Detroit, +1 over Boston, +2 over Rangers.
However: CBJ is behind all 4 teams in Regulation wins, Regulation and Overtime wins, and behind 3 of the 4 in total wins (tied w/Boston).
Those are the 1st 3 playoff tiebreakers.
Playoff hopes could easily be gone by March 6, if they are not then the next two games are at the Rangers and Devils on the road. (3/9 and 3/11).

Sorry, I disagree. The CBJ would be last in the East without Werenski, and Colorado would be a nothing outfit without Makar. Hughes is a great player, but he isn't the 21st Century version of Bobby Orr. |
