Wedgie's comment was fair although literally true, I did not get the statutory rape vibe during the movie. That partcular theme did not age well.

Just looking up a bit about the movie. I think her age is never confirmed. People seem to have settled on her being 16. That would mean that she was 15 when she started sleeping with the leader singer, which I think would be statutory rape at the time.

Definitely different times back then, and I didn't pick up that narrative, but I think the problem would be a little more obvious today.

The boy was definitely under-age.

i think TB is the team to beat in the east. They have been good and Vasi is cooking.

Also, cameron crowe was about 15/16 when he had some of these adventures and met the two female characters the film is about. He looked up to them as adults....so they were older than 16 even in the movie
