but think when Dubi is back and he is paired with him and Cally, there will be more consistency - airjan23
Dubi is NOT the missing link to Richards consistency, lol!!
When it comes to consistency, Dubi is definitely not the guy to look at... or on the other hand, he has been consistent... at being inconsistent and unreliable offensively. |

He brought some jam to the line and thought the three of them meshed well together. What would you do? |

I think we should trade Gaborik for Doan
And then trade Callahan for Glencross and a 2nd
And Dubi for Cogs.

Dubi brings jam to every line, but no points... however, I find it funny how when he starts scoring the rest of the team starts to fizzle out.
What would I do... theres a lot of options... with Dubi...
Dubi, Richards, Gabs
AA, Stepan, Cally
or
AA, Richards, Cally
Dubi, Stepan, Gabs
or
Stepan, Richards, Gaborik
Dubi, AA, Cally (bring back the Pack line)
But being that Dubi is out, Id switch in Hagelin there. Putting AA on the 4th line like is predicted will not help a guy get out of a slump. |

Dubinsky has been one of the best players on the team the last 10 games before his injury and Torts certainly wants him playing on that line and he certainly will be. |

Anyway...
With the way things are playing out... he did lead this team in scoring last year playing on the Pack line, they should bring that back and see if it works. That is... when he returns. |

I think this needs to be said about Dubinsky. He had a horrible beginning of the season offensively, and quite frankly, wasn't earning his newly minted contract, because for $4 million plus a year, you need to put up points. But he still worked hard. He still did a good job defensively. And now his offensive game is starting to come back around a little.
He is not a star. But, he is very solid NHL player, who despite representations to the contrary by some around here, has contributed good offensive numbers the last few years. |

Considering the team was 10-1 in its last 11 games going into last night's tilt. Torts can do whatever he wants with the line combinations. I give him my full authority. |

I never ever say hes a bad player, I always give him props for his defensive game. I only sh!t on his offensive game, and I do that because he gets so much damn hype, and puts up very average numbers. The hype is not relative to the production, yet still people massage his nuts.
When things start to slow down for the team, then people are like where's Dubi? Like hes some messiah or something, HES the guy of all people whos gonna get the team scoring again. I have 0 expectations of the guy. Is he gonna chip in points? Sure. Is he gonna get 40-50 points? Probably. To me hes good, if he stays I wont be mad, if he gets traded, wont bother me either.
If people want to love him like a cult classic movie, which by all conventional theory would be considered an average movie, ya'll are more than welcome to. I personally will never jump on that bandwagon. Ill praise him when he deserves it, and sh!t on him in the same way. Hes been forgettable for the first half of the season, so I apologize that I forget about his point production as of late since its been 10 games, and we have only lost 5 games in regulation (6th in OT) since November 3rd. |

quotes from Sather:
We’ll look at hundreds of things and maybe do one trade. My only concern is ruining our team chemistry. It’s a big reason for our success so far.”
Sather says that he listens to everyone who works with the Rangers and values their opinion.
It’s a delicate situation, but I think that everyone knows that this is a business and that any move that is made is only being made for the betterment of the team. If they make a move it will have to be for a guy that not only fits on the ice, but fits in the room and can join in with the camaraderie that this group has. |

I'm really tired of talking about Dubinsky on here, pro & con. I've stated my feelings, can't do it with people every day. |
