I think Coyle makes the bigger impact sooner. Really wonder how Dumba transitions to the pro game.

I think Dumba won't be able to transition his game to the NHL. Would've been a top-5 pick with his skillset.

Have to remember P.K. was about 5'10-5'11, 170 when he was drafted. It's more about core strength than legit size for guys like that.

That's today. Tomorrow;

Anytime you have a good old fin like Granlund you have a helluva group of young prospects.

I would think Dumba needs another year of juniors, right?
At 170 something lbs, he won't be able to hit people the same way at the NHL level

I must say, the Wild have a boatload of great prospects... really a great job done by management.

I think Phillips should be higher on your list, really see this kid being an impact players for years to come.

Favorite prospect in this bunch: Dumba. What a player! Best D-man of the 2012 draft.

I don't even know if it's the hitting. How about in front of the net trying to muscle guys or digging in the corners?

I went to two of Finland's U20 games in Edmonton and the Granlund brothers did not impress me at all. They were basically invisible for both games.

Unless the Wild get desparate at some point this season, Dumba won't be wearing a Wild sweater anytime soon IMO... He needs time to develop and play with full size full speed NHL caliber players...

He'll be fine, he may not be the biggest guy (though 6'0 ain't really small either) but he has very good balance and is solid on his skates.

As Huddle pointed out, it's more about his core than his overall size.

He should be ready in about 2-3 years after playing junior and the AHL.

Granlund is the most overrated prospect. Is small and rather weak. Doesn't have good speed to compensate size or even have a good shot. Finnish league ain't any good these days and even there he has been babysitted. In WJHC where he has played he haven't impressed. Only he's passing ability is above average. Only above average becuse he needs too much time and space to be effective and in the NHL those aren't so easy to get without speed or size.

How long til we have to stop making fun of this team.

All I have left now is there jerseys to mock. I really really don't like them.

Mikael has definitely been the better of the two no doubt, he had 51 pts in 45 games last season, like any player, NHL or otherwise, players have off games and games where they don't have an impact. No one is saying this kid is the 2nd coming of Jari Kurri, but he's more than proven himself as a possible elite prospect. I do think it will take some time for him to transition into the NHL game. Granted he has a bit more of advantage playing in the SM-liiga which according to IIHF is considered the 2nd strongest European hockey league. He's been playing a lot closer to the NHL level than the other up and coming prospects with the exception of Brodin.

Coyle, Zucker, Dumba and Phillips are pretty much coming right out of the collegiate level and might have a harder time transitioning.
