What makes you rank Pulock, Nurse and Hägg ahead of Ristolainen? Just curious... |

Domi overplayed Lazar at the memorial cup. He was really impressive during the tournament, he may be small but he plays big and what a sweet skills set! Besides Brian, i thought Barkov was going to challenge McKinnon and Jones for the top spot. What do you consider his weakness? |

Barkov? Consistency right now. Needs to wow me a bit more on a more consistent basis. If he does, he'll push hard for a Top 3 spot. |

At this point? Limited viewings, to be perfectly honest. Didn't like his physical game either in those viewings, and his offense didn't wow me a whole bunch. It's early and I expect this will change a whole bunch as the season plays out. |

Which ever team is in the worse financial shape will get first pick. The other 29 teams will then go into a lotto where you get at least 1 ball to a max of 3. Making the playoff or drafting 1st will cost you a ball. |

Any thoughts on why he was passed over so much?
I like Domi ... he reminds me a little bit of Marchand with his size/build. |

Griffith? I know I talked him up a lot last year, because he's the kind of kid you take a chance on (he just plain scores), but I'm not exactly a big fan of him, and my reasoning takes into place why he might not have been taken. For one... he's small. But beyond that, he's a perimeter player. He works off the half wall and basically sneaks into spots to score, but he's not the guy to take the puck and do work himself, push through defenses, etc. He's just an opportunistic junior scorer.

Brian Huddle: 2013 Draft - Early Season Top 30 - Brian Huddle
I think that's pretty generous to Drouin. He's a sparkplug, and he scores a lot, but he is REALLY small. He's going to fit into the Marty St. Louis - never a full time NHLer dichotomy imo.
Fucale and MacKinnon are right where they should be |

Barkov, barely 17 years old, is 3rd in points while playing with men in the Finnish SM-Liiga right now. He's been really impressive, and is my prediction for the #1 overall pick. |

Foreshadowing to the 2013 draft
"Barkov, barely 17 years old, was 3rd in points while playing with men in the Finnish SM-Liiga this past season. He's been really impressive, and was my clear choice for our #1 overall pick," said Blue Jackets GM Scott Howsen after making his selection. Edmonton then quickly choose consensus top pick Nathan MacKinnon, the scoring sensation from the Quebec Major Junior league. In a poll, 29 of 30 GMs rated him as the top pick. Barkov was only a top 2 pick in 13 of the 30 surveyed. |
