Start a new nhl, get rid of these ridiculous player demands and start anew. It is about time somebody put these greedy players in place. The owners are the ones paying their salaries and taking all the risks so why should anyone question them. Make all the profit they can but do not let the players tell them how much to pay them and how much they can make. Totally ridiculous and every fan must realize how good the players have it and yet they act hard done by. Playing for considerably less and taking away jobs from other players trying to make a living is disgusting. Every nhler on another team is a job lost for somebody!

Yeah, I am a diehard fan and will be back but I will never have respect for these greedy players ever again. Daniel and Henrik Sedin have given millions of their salary to charity and should be commended but as a group they pizz me right off.

i'm sick of all of them: owners, players, league officials. just (frank)ing come to a 50/50 split and get the (frank) on with it. (frank)ing idiots can't get out of their own way.

Just think. If the year is lost, all of the greedy swine who demanded long term contracts, with the money front loaded, will lose the first year. Say goodbye to $12 million dollars each, Suter, Parise and Weber. It looks good on you, for wanting it all now!

The players aren't greedy, nor have they made ridiculous demands. The last time there was a lockout, the players accepted the Salary Cap, accepted a 24% salary cut. What happened? Now here we are again, and the League again wants the players to pay for their failed system. The players have already offered to give up hundreds of millions in future earnings, to do their part in the future. What is the League offering? Need to have the facts

Yea, they held a gun to their respective teams and forced them to sign them to those deals! Again, have the facts. Suter and Parise would lose 2M each, while getting paid 10M each if the year is lost. Weber will lose 1M if the year is lost, while getting paid 13M.

Doubt it. They knew what the deal was when they agreed to match the deal.

if i'm in the rank and file (and im not), once those paychecks start disappearing, i start to wonder what the hell Fehr is doing. all the hoopla when this guy was brought in, and for what? what is he doing? did they really need to bring him in not to negotiate? anyone could have done this. i guess we'll see how it unfolds over the next few weeks but as i see it, Fehr's job is to get these guys back on the ice asap with as good a deal as possible and his passiveness throughout the entire process is alarming.

IT takes two to negotiate. Saying "whatever you say Gary" isn't negotiating.
