Well done on the Hextall note. Versus the Oilers wasn't it? |

I mentioned Hexy in the History section; had to update it from yesterday's. A lot of memorable games took place on Oct. 9 of various seasons.

Can I catch the Phantoms some how?? VIA TV or Internet??
I checked with Direct TV and thats a no go - Flyers_1488
There are various AHL webcast packages -- all quite pricey, especially in light of the fact that the video feed is often the jumbotron camera -- at http://ahl.neulion.com/ahl/ |

Yes. He was an assistant coach for the Flyers at the time. |

That was vintage, jump on the unsuspecting D, strip, beat the defenseless goalie. Woo! Sigh. Those were the days. |

Dear God what was that guy thinking? I remember Clarkson running away from Wayne in the playoffs because he kicked his ass so badly in the Reg season.
Apparently, he's not physically imposing, but man can he fight. |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Today's Games, Giroux and Briere in Berlin, and More - bmeltzer
Really only a couple surprises with the Phantoms' moves. I was afriad that Kessel would make the Phantoms based on the name on the back. Hopefully this is a wake-up call for him and he learns to be more of a team player and not a ME player. He showed a few bright offensive highlights last year, but the attitude sux.
Bill is correct, Akeson is a smallish one-way player. There is no room for him on the Phantoms now. Pither seemed to find himself in the coach's doghouse last year. He is a skilled player, but can't seem to put it all together on the ice consisitantly. Hopefully more ice time in Trenton helps him do that.
The Phantoms look solid this year. Again, the defense is a strength. Munroe should be stable in net. This will be the first year since they moved north that they have actual scoring threats up front. Fitz was also a nice addition. Too many times last year Tsetwuide and Homstrom had to drop the gloves.
It will be interesting on Saturday to see who wears the "C" out of the tunnel. |

something I found interesting about the Gretzky stat. He played 79 games had 183 pts. He was held off the score sheet against the Flyers. Couldnt find a game-game log so I'm not sure how many other games he was scoreless. So he averaged 2.3pts a game in games he accumulated pts (assuming he scored in every game, which we know he didnt) |

Lindros was such a stud. Still the most dominating player I have ever seen, and may ever see. |

All the packages are expensive QMJHL $200, OHL $299, WHL $299 .........You'd think the leagues would want to jump at the lockout to get more outside their markets. |

I've never seen a star player receive such poor treatment from the officials though. Then again, not many Philly players get the calls (maybe Iverson).
