When do the teams have to start refunding ticket sales? Clearly if they have cancelled games through 11/1 they have to either offer a refund or replacement with rescheduled game.

My advice to the season ticket and ticket plan holders...demand money back. Don't let the owners sit on your money one second longer. They demand money months in advance and collect the interest on it...well, if the game you paid for is now cancelled they should be refunding your money no questions asked.

I sure do hope all the positive pieces out there are accurate, but my gut tells me you're right. I'm not holding my breath.

It will be a very bad sign if they cancel the winter classic. I think the next step would be the league deciding that they will also dig in.

If Fehr pushes this too far, it will get personal. If it does. The players are going to lose no matter what the outcome because we will be out long enough that they will never recover their money.

I remember the rhetoric from 2004 also... I then remember how they caved when reality set in.

Driving to work this morning listening to the NHL channel (XM 92) I realized that I almost completely don't give a poop anymore, and that's pretty sad. If they cancel more games I'm afraid I could become nothing more than a casual fan who only cares about the NHL when playoff time rolls around and even then only if my team is in the playoffs.

Also the idea of the owners threatening to cancel the winter classis reminds me of Blazing Saddles when the sheriff held a gun to his own head and threatened to pull the trigger if he didn't get what he wanted.

Let the Winter Classic game be cancelled. The cancelling to the start of the season has totally ruined it for me..
Wait out the players and cancel the season if you must.
