I wasn't sure if I was the only one who noticed Canada were embellishing some of those penalties in the last 10 minutes of the game, but it turned into soccer at that point. |

They did it last game too. It makes me mad. Canadians should play like warriors, not soccer players. |

Did they really? I have been somewhat following the tournament (I've been stuck on early shifts lately, so kinda limited), but I just kind of got aggravated eventually. The diving ruined all of the US momentum. Some of the hits were dumb and stupid and pointless.. but never an excuse to go down like you got ran over by a turbo boosted zamboni.
Canada deserved the win, for sure. Subban played unreal, but did have an amazing defense in front of him, while Gibson just pretty much went Ryan Miller of the Olympics keeping them in it with average defense at times. It was a tough game, but yes.. Dougie Hamilton.. No idea what he is doing out there. I don't know what it is about him.. So much talent, but just so sloppy out there. |

I understand what ya mean about how playing like warriors.
US may have lost, but at least they didn't resort to diving to draw penalties.. RNH honestly deserves to be benched for the absolutely ridiculous penalty at the end. That was one of the dumbest, most pointless penalties I have seen in my life.
I also don't see why Housley doesn't give Galchenyuk more ice-time. He is such a superbly gifted player, but what do you expect out of a guy if you give him 10 minutes of ice-time? How motivated is a player going to be knowing they are getting 4th line ice-time? |

One can only hope! (jk)
Maybe Scheifele can get a trade to Vancouver so we can have another diver on the team. |

Didn't see the game but listened on the radio a bit..all I kept hearing was somethin like "hopkins passes in front! Hamilton misses the net..".
I'm stayin up to watch Rieder and the Germans...
And No Richard! No no NO! Yakupov will not be traded..one day Rieder will take hemskys spot on RW, Yak will move over to LW except for on the pp, there he will one time feeds from hall through the back of the net from the right faceoff dot! |

I don't think Scheifele is diving Clouts, I think the trainer gave him Hudon's skates or something, haven't seen a player struggle to stay on his feet this much since Matt Stajan. Those bluelines are dangerously high. |

I thought most guys on both teams were meh in this game.I was disappointed in galchenyuk in this game although he is the only usa forward getting points in the last two games. Trouba and jones both impressed me for the usa. For canada I think drouin could be real good his skill level is high. |

In reality though if the NHL was going we would have almost a completely differnt team. Look at RNH, Strome, Huberdeau, Schefelle, maybe Rienhart and Rattie would all be on their NHL teams. - longbottom
Reinhart can barely play in this tournament, let alone the NHL. He has been supremely disappointing. |

Reinhart is nowhere near ready for the NHL. |

One thing I noticed, that as soon as the USA went down 2, they started playing as individuals, and not as a team. There were a number of rushes that started behind the USA net, and the same players carried all the way down behind the Canadian net.
On the other hand, Canada really played as a team, sharp passes, head manning the puck. On at least five occasions, there were scarmbles and loose pucks in front of the USA net, had even one of those resulted in a Canadian bounce instead of USA, it would have been a completely different game. Despite the lack of offensive production, Canada looked good.

I agree with NHL players not being eligible. Maybe put a game limit, say if you played 25 games in NHL you're not eligible. |

It certainly seems that way, Reinhart was supposed to be NHL ready, and the Islanders were in need of an NHL ready Dman.....
Rielly on the other hand has impressed all tournament, he might be the steal of the draft at 5th overall. |

Performance wise, I'd say Rielly has been the best D man for Canada, which I realize is biased based on the fact that I am a leaf fan. I was expecting so much more from Hamilton, Murphy, and Reinhart.

It's an under 20 tournament. Any player under 20 should be able to play, plain and simple. |

Normally it's not an issue, it's a 20 and under tournament. RNH is the only player from his draft that has played in the NHL and was eligible for this tourney. Landeskog, Couturier and Larsson are the only other players from that draft that saw significant NHL play. |

Who embellished? You cant skate through the back of a goalies legs and not knock him down.
And on the Trouba one, it was a good hit that knocked Scheif down. He didnt dive. Shouldnt have been a penalty |
