Dougie just continues to get better with each game, he has shown great poise under pressure. He doesn't get rattled and is always making the right decisions. His 2nd assist tonight like you mentioned was a thing of beauty. He and Seidenberg are going to make for a formidable D pairing.

I agree that the 3rd line needs to get going, it seems like they are just missing chances in the offensive zone. Bourque has looked ok, I'm not sold on him yet. I think if he didn't carry the Bourque name he would not receive as much praise. I hope that when Caron returns he is given the chance to regain his spot in the line-up.

I like your new style of game recaps Ty, and this is probably the best one so far.

The 4th line is playing terrible in the defensive zone, IMO. Nothing will limit their minutes faster with Claude, and that will put a more of a burden on the other lines they are not used to. Of course the 4th line will struggle defensively just based on their talent level, but to me they seem worse than usual.

Hamilton continues to impress, his offensive decision making and passing is only topped by the fact that he's actually not a liability in the defensive zone (credit to his partners for sure) so far which I thought he would be.

I agree with you completely on the 3rd line, maybe they should consider making a change sooner than later in terms of Bourque. He def looks like a great AHL player that is 1/2 a step behind in the NHL. Who would you try out? Pandolfo is the scratch right?

Very happy to see the isles hang in there last night. Much respect to Boston and how physically they are. I think the back to back nights are really going to kill teams early this year. Not sure if the isles are ready to be a playoff team. Our defense is atrocious.

Pandolfo gives an honest effort but that's about it. He doesn't bring much else

I watched the game on the MSG network, it was nice getting a different perspective,(and to not listen to Edwards) but even after the game, the Ils coach was praising the B's, and what a benchmark game it was for them. Of coarse I think they're awesome but to hear that outside perspective...
Aucoin is a nice pickup for the Ilsanders, he should help bring the kids along, I've always liked him.

PS TY, howbout a gameday thread for petes sake....

well I thought Khudobin looked pretty good, hard to fault him on the Stall goal when everyone left him standing there alone in the slot
