As much as I'd like to see greene and mitchell on the ducks, there's a good chance they may be on a different team.. |

While Nashville currently stands fourth in the conference, it is important to keep in mind that the team is only two points ahead of the three way tie for the last two spots and only three points ahead of 10th place LA.
My concern, Preds have played more games than - 1 (Hawks, Blow Jackets, Wings, Canucks and Yotes), 2 (Blues, Flames, Avs, Oil, Wild and Sharks) or 3(Ducks and Kings) Only are even with Stars. So if you look at the points in light of this Preds are actually dangling somewhere around 7 - 9. I sense the need for a lot more urgency in their game.
Re Realignment - Are the rumors correct that it will be a conference (Western Conference iso by division) seeding based upon points within the conference 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, etc. or what? |

Given the points as of today in the new alignment, playoffs would be:
MIDWEST
1 - Chicago 35
4 - Nashville 23
5 - St. Louis 22
6 - Dallas 22 wildcard
PACIFIC
2 - Anaheim 27
3 - Vancouver 24
7 - SJ 21
8 - Phoenix 21 wildcard
If Minnesota had another win and 2 more points (22), Phoenix would be out and both wild card teams would be from the MIDWEST division.
Games played on the 1-8, 2-7 etc. |

Great....If Etem starts tonight in his first ever NHL game, he's pretty much assured a hattie...since he's playing the Preds, and all. |

I wish the Preds had picked Etem instead of Watson. |

If I'm not mistaken, the playoffs are intra-division, with the possible exception of the wildcard teams. That would suck. |

Has Gaustad been hurt for you guys or has he been a healthy scratch? Only played in 13 games so far this season? |

He was injured earlier in the year and re-aggravated whatever it was recently. |

We need him back. He's the only guy on our entire team who can consistently win a face-off. |

Right On.
Not only on the face-offs but on Etem vs. Watson as well. |

He's played a few games earlier this season. Plenty of chances to score but just can't cash in. Should be a good game tonight. |

Looks like the Preds are suffering from propeller lag.....
4-0 Ducks, time to go watch Wings @ Kings and see if Tootoo is causing trouble. |

This Pacific Division swing could be just the thing for Nashville to get on the kind of a roll that should cement their playoff positioning… and no, it is not too early to discuss that. - pmccann
This is not a playoff team. I thought that by now they'd be shaking off the long offseason and get back to being the team we saw last year. Nope! This team isn't even close to what we had on the ice last season. It's a shell of that team, and worst part is everyone is standing pat.
I get the feeling that this organization isn't going to try and make any corrections due to the fact that this is a shortened season. If they were going to do something then why haven't we at least seen a call-up from Milwaukee?
Etem was in the game last night. He was picked 29th in the same draft that we picked Watson 18th, yet he's able to crack a lineup with a very potent offense. In the meantime, Watson can't play for a team that has a hard time just getting a single goal on a regular basis? Why is that?
And can someone tell Clune to stop trying to fight... or whatever the hell that is he's trying to pass off as fighting. It's embarrassing. |

Looked like a team that played 4 games in 6 days! Lazy poke checks by Gaustad & Rinne on the first 2 goals. Josi & Weber must have stayed up all Monday night!
Everybody was in slow motion in the 1st period, game was over early. Thank god this a roadie & went to bed. |
