I hate to say it but Lupul's gonna get yanked for 2 games.
Not really what the leafs need. It's time to gather some momentum for the upcomming games against the Bruins.

My prediction is one. Anything more than two is unfair, I think. You're absolutely right that it's not what the Leafs need right now. He's just back, and now he's going to be out again (albeit for a different reason).

It didn't look like he really leaned into him but there the contact to the head was there. I think he was just trying brace himself for contact. 1 game if that.

Hedman's 6-foot-6. Lupul got his head, and to do that to Hedman takes a little bit of effort. He seemed to leave his feet and pop up a little bit right before getting him in the head.

I just don't feel that there was malicious intent. 1 game no more not a repeat offender and he just got back to the game trying to find his groove. Off topic you need an Avatar.

Like I said in the blog, I don't feel that there was malicious intent either. That being said, the principal point of contact was the head and he popped up. The rules are pretty clear about that. My prediction is one game. Anything more than two is too much.

I used to have an avatar (it was a Lightning jersey) but I didn't like having it there. I prefer not having one.

Some bloggers just don't get enough credit and others don't deserve any but get a ton of hits. I read almost all of the bloggers few put as much effort in as Mike.

Great blog, although I feel a single-game suspension for Lups would be okay. I officiate USA Hockey games, so maybe I'm a little more objective. He could have lowered that shoulder instead of raising it in my opinion. Also, as much as I'd love to say that Kadri outmatched Stammer, our defensive corps were following him like his shadow. When you have defenses that do this to a single player, it usually means that other players get a lot of chances. You guys just didn't capitalize on them quick enough. Good game. Didn't even see the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th goals due to me getting food...

Thanks! Your group definitely did a good job shutting down the Lightning's top guys. That's been a problem for the Lightning in recent weeks. Capitalizing on chances seems to be difficult for this group. That sounds absurd considering the fact that we have the league's leading goal scorer on our roster, but it's true.

Hahaha yes. If you blinked, you probably missed them. It was fast.

I'm not sure if they caught it on the Tampa broadcast (was it televised?) but on the Leafs broadcast they showed that Phaneuf's shot was probably tipped very slightly by Kulemin. It looked like Garon was expecting it to be a little lower too which would also suggest that. So that one might not have been as bad as it looked.

ugly hockey. i cant believe this is the same team that started the season 6-1. looks like malone is gonna be done for the season or at least awhile. i wouldnt mind buying him out. too injury prone. hopefully hedman isnt out at all. i think rinaldo and lupul should each get a game or two. but the league hates the lightning so they both prob dont get anything. we wont suck enough to get to last. we would have to trade our first plus something else to move up enough to get seth which is really who we need. brewer is awful. carle is awful. aulie, hedman, salo, and gudas should be our top 6 as sad as that is. i wouldnt mind benching brewer and giving barberio a look. maybe some playoff team will take brewer for a 5th rounder or something. team deff looks off without vinny. and people wonder why tampa fans say he will never be traded. you can clearly tell something is missing when hes not in the lineup. we play bad against OTT and the peg is looking good so i wouldnt be surprised if we lose both this weekend. we have 8 more games against our division this season. thats our only chance of getting in.

not to troll... but anyone play inline? I'm in the market for new bearings and have read various opinions.
People seem to really like Bones Reds, but I won't spend the 75 on the Swiss where I can find Swiss cheaper with Mission, Bevo and Labeda. If I did Bones, i'd get the 8pack of regular Super Reds for 22bucks. Bevo makes a 16 pack of Swiss for 45, Labeda for 42, Mission for 40 and Swiss LE for 48.

I probably won't notice the difference and I understand maintenance is important to longevity. One writer said he had Reds, Bevo and Missions and found the Missions to be just as fast but much longer lasting. Any info is appreciated.

But according to Flyers fans, he's a major homer? What gives?

Here are my two cents, take them for what there worth.
Yes we are missing 3 good core players, yes our defense has a few struggle (they are getting better as evident in the lower shots against total) and yes our back-up was between the pipes, but lets give credit where it's due. The Leafs are a very talented team with good coaching, good goaltending are where very desperate for a win after recent struggles. Add to that the support of some of the most rabid fans and well you get what happened last night. It was a good win for the Leafs and a lesson for us.

I have had Reds on my skates for about 6 years and they will probably last 6 more. With regular maintenance, I have never had an issue.
