Here's another thing that would help the defense and goaltending- either block the shot, or let the goalie see the puck. I am so tired of watching these guys step into the lane and then shy away from the shot at the last second (Moulson and Bailey are the two worst, but they aren't the only ones). If opponents know you're going to do that, they'll wait for you to screen your own goalie before shooting. You can score on a 30 MPH wrist shot from 50 feet away if the goalie can't see it- the Isles have enough trouble defending without that happening....

Let me add to that...have defensemen stop swatting at the puck next to our goalie. Streit's 'goal' last night was a fine example. If you're not within 10 feet of the shooter, by no means should be you trying to get your stick in the way of the shot!

There are so few games left in this short season. The Islanders are wasting their chances at any playing time in the post season. But maybe some of them just don't care.

Starting at the top of the list of those who don't care:
Garth Snow - does he really think this is a playoff team and a playoff coach? COULD he REALLY be that f'ing stupid... no....he isn't, so he must not care.

Jack Capuano - should be getting suspended by Shannaban right now for ripping the refs new turd-cutters and for sending Carkner out to run Subban through the boards for taking liberties with JT. He sleepwalks through the games. No expression. No benchings. No shake ups. No call ups. Leaves Poulin in net with 3 min in reg. when we're given a PP. Clearly, he must think he's dreaming and this weird freaky nightmare will end sometime soon....

I won't even watch the game tonight. Perhaps the rest of the season. I feel for the players (& fans). They don't deserve the crap they've been given. No leadership from the top on down. No examples to learn from. No hope in the forseeable future. I want to puke. I don't know why any of you continue to pay money to see these clowns(mgmnt & coaches) destroy our franchise.

If you all stopped going to the games, a message would be sent, possibly even heard. DO nothing and nothing will change. Seriously, a movement needs to happen to remove everyone from Garth on down. Charles isn't selling. Everything else can be changed tho....
