The next two games are huge. Win them both, and playoff appearance is a serious possibility. Lose them both, and give the NYR, WSH and CAR plenty of opportunity to jump ahead of the Isles in the standings.

I'm not surprised they lost in Pitt and had it pegged as a loss before the puck dropped. The Pens are on fire right now. They are so deep they can withstand a loss of Crosby or another star and still get by. Pitt is firing on all cylinders. The fact they lost in Pitt 2-0 with the game in reach well into the third is a testament to how much further the Isles have come in recent times.

Not to mention our next two opponents have both been playing like cr*p lately. I don't see a team left on the schedule they aren't guaranteed to beat if they play well, other than Boston...I just hope Garth finally grows a pair and does something to help them out in the next couple of days....

As long as he does something. Whether it's bring in some help or trade some players for picks depending on how these next two games go.

This is a winnable game, I wonder if Dee thinks we should bring DP up for this one.. since there is such a history between him and Marty??

That was my reaction...wonder if it has something to do with his age? No idea.

Asked one NHL scout for his take on Anders Lee and he responded, "He's a big horse." So, that's certainly a description.

here it is:
a3 year contract available to players 21 and under (mandatory is more like it). Players who are 22 and 23 (and have never played an NHL game before) have a 2 yr entry level contract, and players who are 24 only have a 1 yr contract

Considering we have a bunch of quarter horses, this should be nice.

Ah, makes sense then. That brings them to 49 contracts I think. If they want to get both Pedan and Mayfield signed, gotta dump someone.

That shouldn't be a problem. They could pick about 30 guys in BP they can cut. Wishart can be the first

If they are going to play in BP then they can be signed to try-out contracts for the rest of the season and then it doesn't count to the 50
